Basketball Star Academy is a new international basketball Academy in Denmark offering Elite training, top level education (IB or Danish), awesome facilities and accomodation and a vibrant community of high performing athletes in many different sports.

On August 9th, we officially kicked off our BSA 26/27 season!

With almost 50 players representing 25 different nationalities, alongside six coaches and a dedicated management staff, we are off to a fantastic start.

Our players have also begun their school year, with many of them adjusting to a new daily routine, getting to know their host country, and experiencing new foods, cultures, and traditions along the way.

Soon, we will head off to our pre-season tournament, marking the beginning of what we believe will be a fantastic year — both on and off the court.

We are excited for the journey ahead and look forward to sharing the season with you!

We are very proud to share that Faruk Velagic is joining BSA!
Faruk comes from Fredericia where he contributed with great success to the growth of the local basketball club for many years.
He developed and shaped a whole generation of players since 2019 and we are thrilled for having him in our coaching staff from this season.
With Faruk in our team, BSA can now count on 6 highly qualified coaches to develop nearly 50 U19 and U17 players.
We look forward for a great season!

How is it to be a student at SportStar College?
Our college hosts ~150 players athletes that are active in many different sports!
Basketball players are ~ 25% of all SportStar College students, coming from all over Europe to study and play elite basketball 🏀
They are part of an awesome community of like minded young adults: creating connections and friendships for life!

It was an inspiring and energizing experience! Thank you Danmarks Basketball-Forbund for organizing it!
We are proud to be one of the five certified academies and we are looking forward to a new exciting season!

Repræsentanter fra de DBBF-certificerede akademier har været samlet på INSEP i Paris – et af verdens stærkeste elite- og talentmiljøer.

Her har fokus været på blandt andet:
✅ spillerudvikling
✅ coaching og pædagogik
✅ talent- og udviklingsmiljøer

“Det var inspirerende at opleve hverdagen i et internationalt topmiljø og tage nye idéer med hjem til arbejdet i Danmark,” siger Tobias Olsen fra Bears Academy.
