On May 9th a record number of 35.000 runners will fill the streets of Copenhagen.

The final runners selected through the lottery have now completed their registrations, and the field for Copenhagen Marathon 2027 is officially set.

80,937 runners applied for one of the 35,000 entries available for next year's race.

Unfortunately, that means a lot of runners haven't received the answer they were hoping for.

We truly wish we had room for everyone who wanted to join us on the streets of Copenhagen next May.

To everyone who entered the lottery: thank you.

If you weren't selected this time, we hope to welcome you to Copenhagen another time.

And to the 35,000 runners who secured a place on the start line: your journey starts now.

We have now begun the draw and started sending invitations to the first participants selected for Copenhagen Marathon 2027.

Don't forget to check your email – and especially your spam folder – to see if a race bib is waiting for you.

We will contact everyone who entered the lottery, regardless of whether they are selected or not.

That means your chance to run Copenhagen Marathon 2027 remains alive until you receive an email informing you that you were not selected in the draw.

Starting next week, applicants will begin receiving emails with the outcome of the lottery.
