German Open 2027. ◼️🟥🟨
I went there with some really great horses, a completely normal amount of 🧳 luggage, approximately 847 things in my head at the same time — and apparently came home with a „Golden Reitabzeichen“ 🏅💛
Which is still a slightly strange sentence to write.
Because while the actual award takes only a few minutes, the 🛣️ road to it is made of a ridiculous number of rides, horses, mistakes, good decisions, questionable decisions, show mornings that started far too early, students, customers, friends — and probably several thousand kilometres on German „Autobahnen“.
And that is why this one doesn’t really feel like a „me“ thing. It feels much more like a WE thing. 🙌🏻
First of all: a huge THANK YOU to my customers. 👏🏻🫶🏼
For trusting me with your horses.
For letting me train them, show them, try things, change things, occasionally say „give me a second, I have an idea“ — which, as everyone around me knows, can be either very reassuring or mildly terrifying.
Thank you for that trust. Really.☝🏻😁
Then there is Sebastian.❤️
Who somehow managed to secretly organize video footage 📼 of the award ceremony without me knowing. So thank you, Amore, for making sure I actually have moving pictures of a moment I probably would otherwise have experienced once and then stored somewhere in the back of my ADHD brain between „buy carrots“ and „where did I put that measuring stick“.
And Corrie. 📸
Thank you for looking through a camera at all of this so beautifully. For the pictures, the moments and for somehow always knowing when to press the button.
And Lotte. 🫵🏻
Simply because you are Lotte.
Because you somehow always get the joke, survive the chaos, join the nonsense and at the same time are one of those people who quietly make the whole thing better just by being part of it.
And then there are the people you don’t see in this Reel.
Susanne.
My mom.
And everyone who stayed at home and kept everything running.
So yes. German Open 2027. Would do it again. 🤍🐴
