The German Open has a new mascot: the bat "Batchacha".
The mascot is available to buy exclusively at the GOC information stand during the GOC. Batchacha is available in the following sizes:
small for €6
medium for €11
large for €17

This year, the GOC is once again organising solo competitions.
New additions to the 2026 competition calendar: WDSF Open Solo Latin Female Adult + WDSF Open Solo Standard Female Adult
Can I compete with my partner and also take part in the solo competitions on my own? No, this has not been possible since 2026.
All dancers require a WDSF MIN; German dancers can also use a DTV ID card in addition to their WDSF MIN to register.

In diesem Jahr werden bei der GOC wieder Solo Turniere angeboten.
Neu im Turnierkalender 2026: WDSF Open Solo Latin Female Adult + WDSF Open Solo Standard Female Adult
Kann ich gleichzeitig mit meinem Partner starten und zusätzlich alleine bei den Solo-Turnieren teilnehmen? Nein, dass ist seit 2026 nicht mehr möglich.
Alle Tänzerinnen und Tänzer benötigen eine WDSF MIN, deutsche Tänzerinnen und Tänzer können zusätzlich zur WDSF MIN eine DTV-ID-Karte zur Anmeldung nutzen.

Information for competitors. Entry is open from the A Class onwards, e.g. for the adult and seniors. Any A-class couple who has applied for a WDSF licence is already eligible to compete in the GOC’s international WDSF tournaments. Please check the expiry date of your WDSF Member ID Card when registering.

Competitors on the respective day will be treated in the same way as spectators with standing tickets. Spectating is possible in all three halls; however, there is no entitlement to standing room in the Beethovensaal during the evening event. We therefore recommend booking an additional seat for the Beethovensaal.

Infos für Starter. Bereits ab der A-Klasse ist die Teilnahme möglich, z. B. für die Hauptgruppe und Senioren. Wer als A-Paar eine WDSF-Lizenz beantragt hat, darf bereits auch bei den internationalen WDSF-Turnieren der GOC starten. Bitte überprüft bei eurer Startmeldung das Ablaufdatum der WDSF Member ID Card.

Starter des jeweiligen Tages werden wie Zuschauer mit Stehplatz-Ticket behandelt. Zusehen in allen drei Sälen ist möglich, allerdings besteht für den Beethovensaal bei der Abendveranstaltung kein Stehplatzanspruch. Daher ist eine zusätzliche Sitzplatzbuchung für den Beethovensaal empfehlenswert.

Why shouldn’t you miss the GOC, whether as a spectator or a competitor?
Because the GOC is the world’s largest dance sport competition. Coaches and top dancers from all over the world come together here. A wide variety of top-class dance sport is on display: wheelchair dancing, boogie-woogie, solo dancing, standard and Latin, for the youngest competitors up to the age of 9 (Juveniles) or for the oldest performance class from 70/75 (Senior V). The venues, such as the Beethovensaal, offer a wonderful atmosphere. There is an enormous number of dance sport exhibitors to visit.

Warum solltet ihr die GOC als Zuschauer oder Starter nicht versäumen?
Weil die GOC das weltgrößte Tanzsportturnier der Welt ist. Trainer und Spitzentänzer aus aller Welt finden hier zusammen. Es wird hochkarätiger Tanzsport in großer Vielfalt gezeigt: Rollstuhltanz, Boogie Woogie, Solotanz, Standard und Latein, für die Jüngsten bis 9 Jahre (Juveniles) oder für die älteste Leistungsklasse ab 70/75 (Senior V). Die Austragungsorte wie z. B. der Beethovensaal bieten ein wunderschönes Ambiente. Es können eine enorme Anzahl an Tanzsport-Ausstellern besucht werden.
