For the next episode of Pass It On, we’re proud to welcome Laura Ferreira 🇵🇹, a Portuguese National Team player whose basketball journey has taken her from representing Portugal at youth level all the way to the senior national team and the FIBA Women’s EuroBasket.

Throughout her career, Laura has competed in Portugal and across Europe, building her path through years of dedication, resilience and commitment to the game.

Now, she’s passing on what she has learned to the next generation of girls who are building their own basketball stories. 🏀✨

🏀 Dream big. Know your worth. Believe there is no limit to what you can achieve.

For former Serbian international and Olympic medalist Aleksandra Crvendakić, basketball has been much more than a game. It has taught her resilience, discipline, confidence, and the importance of continuing to believe in yourself — even when things don’t go your way.

Her advice to the next generation? Work hard and stay ambitious, but don’t forget to enjoy the journey. Celebrate how far you’ve come, trust the work you’re putting in, and keep showing up.

Today, we are proud to launch Pass It On – a new series by GUTS, where professional basketball players share a personal message, valuable advice, and life lessons with young athletes around the world.

We are honored to welcome our very first guest, Paula Strautmane 🇱🇻.

A member of the Latvian National Team, Paula has represented her country at multiple FIBA Women’s EuroBasket tournaments and built an international career that has taken her from NCAA Division I basketball at Quinnipiac University in the United States to professional clubs across Europe. Through dedication, resilience, and hard work, she continues to inspire young players both on and off the court.

🏀 First GUTS Camp by the Saarlouis Royals in Kaiserslautern – Registration is still open!

On 27–28 July 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the first camp of our GUTS Camp Series will take place at Schillerschule in Kaiserslautern.

GUTS – Girls United Through Sports is an Erasmus+ Sport project funded by the European Union, dedicated to empowering girls through sport, building self-confidence, and promoting equal opportunities, inclusion and community.

Together with our cooperation partner, the Kaiserslautern Thunderbolts, participants will enjoy an exciting programme featuring:

🏀 Basketball training with Royals coaches Michael Bellmann and Parsa Rahbari, together with the Thunderbolts coaching staff
🥗 Nutrition workshop for young female athletes with qualified nutritionist Eva Schmidt-Zöllner
🥊 Self-defence session with boxing coach Samanda Williams
👕 A free GUTS T-shirt for every participant
🍽️ Free meals and refreshments throughout the camp

✨ Participation is completely free of charge, ensuring that every girl has the opportunity to take part!
