Vom 6. - 8. März 2026 wird der erste Summit stattfinden! In Paderborn, where chinkilla was born and raised. ➡️ Genauer gesagt: bei den - wo das allererste Meetup stattgefunden hat 🥊

war immer mehr als nur eine Kampagne. Wir haben sie 2022 gestartet und wollten eigentlich nur eines: mehr Frauen auf die Matte bringen.

4️⃣ Jahre später können wir auf 181 kostenlose Events in Partnerschaft mit über 90 Kampfsportgyms in 67 Städten und insgesamt auf 4800 Teilnehmerinnen zurückblicken 🥹

📈 Seitdem sehen wir immer mehr Frauen und Mädchen auf der Matte, viele regelmäßige Frauenkurse in zahlreichen Gyms, Women Only Events und ein wachsendes Bewusstsein für ein sicheres Trainingsumfeld ☑️

📣 Deswegen starten wir das nächste Kapitel und bringen 2026 die Community erstmals an einem Ort zusammen:

Ein Wochenende für Frauen im Kampfsport – zum Trainieren, Lernen, Diskutieren und Vernetzen.

Different bodies, different weight cuts 🧬

We took some time over the holidays to dive deeper into the data we collected this summer asking 200+ female combat sports athletes about weight cutting & the menstrual cycle.

We’ve already published quite a few graphs and insights, but this one took by far the most time (data analysis done by a sports scientist 👨‍🔬) and has the most interesting outcome.

The women who participated had cycle lengths ranging from 21 to 35 days which we translated into the scientifically used idealized cycle of 28 days. Across their cycle they mapped the peak water retention days and peak negative performance days. And these are our key takeaways ⬇️

1. Water retention is not random, it follows a hormone driven pattern of showing up in the late luteal and early menstrual phase.

2. Performances decline follows a related but distinct curve which means athletes may feel worse before th scale shows the highest weight.

3. Critical overlap for weight cutting: The period where water retention is the highest and performance the lowest represents a physiologically high-risk window when trying to dehydrate aggressively.

4. Why weight cuts feel unpredictable ➡️ The graph explains why may athletes report that “The weight won’t move”, “I suddenly gained 1-2kg” or “the cut felt impossible this time”

Starting this conversation is not about lowering standards. It’s about aligning performance, health and biology 💪

Big hopes for 2026 📈

In 2024, we announced our all women martial arts tournament “Ultimate Badass” - 65 women registered.

A year later 127 raised their hands to step into the cage.

Nearly double the fighters.
Nearly double the MMA athletes.
➡️ And 1 in 5 wanting to step into the cage for the first time.

Also, most of the fighters return at the following event - and they bring back up! We can’t wait to see what this is growing into 🙏
