Heute ist „Action-Day“ bei den Bauern im Revier. Auf gut 180 ha wir der Mais gehäckselt.
Wir sind natürlich mit ausreichend Jägern am Start um die Felder zu umstellen.
Da vorgestern der 1895 GBL mit zur Maisjagd durfte, ist heute der 338 MX dran.
Wichtig bei den Maisjagden und unverzichtbar ist Signalkleidung! Bei uns wird vorausgesetzt, dass jeder Schütze mindestens eine Signalweste und eine Signalmütze trägt.
Ich bin mal gespannt, ob überhaupt 🐗 im 🌽 sind da aktuell weder die Kirrungen und Suhlen angenommen sind noch irgendeine Wildkamera im Revier in den letzten Wochen eine Sau aufgenommen hat.

Als der Anruf vom Bauer „in 10 Minuten fängt der Häcksler an“ kam, blieb keine Zeit noch weitere Jäger zu informieren um das Maisfeld abzustellen. Da jedoch die Chance bestand, dass Sauen im Mais sind, fuhr ich trotzdem raus.
Aber was machen als „last man standing“? Ich entschied mich gegen ein Anstehen am Mais und platzierte mich im nahegelegenen Wald in Sichtweite eines Sauenwechsels in der Hofffnung, dass die 🐗 aus dem 🌽 dann diesen Fluchtweg einschlagen.
So stand ich dann da, den Sauenstopper auf dem Zielstock aufgelegt, das Zielfernrohr auf kleinste Stufe gedreht und immer hoffend, dass gleich die Sauen aus dem Mais heraus brechen.
Leider war nur Rehwild im Mais, nicht einmal ein 🦊.
Nach einer kurzen Pause, ich überlegte kurz sogar ein Nickerchen zu machen 😉, war dann noch ein zweites Maisfeld dran. Aber auch hier: keine Sauen im Mais.
Einerseits war da die Erleichterung durch die Erkenntnis: wo keine Sauen sind, gibts auch keinen Schaden aber andererseits wäre im Gefrierschrank auch Platz für einen Überläufer gewesen.

My picks for precision reloading
After years at the bench, I’ve learned it’s the small details that separate an okay round from a great one. Here’s what earned a spot in my setup.

Universal Seating Die. I load for more calibers than I’d like to admit, and switching between them used to be a hassle. This one makes it easy and affordable, without giving up precise seating control.

Reloading Tray (Frankford Arsenal). Simple, budget friendly, and it saves me time every session. Wobble free fit for your brass, funnel on top, quick and clean loading.

Forster Full Length Sizing Die (6.5 Grendel). For my precision loads, there’s no substitute. Consistent resizing gives me the confidence I need when prepping Grendel brass.

Nothing fancy here, just tools that work.

Gestern Abend war ein kurzer Ansitz zum Kopf frei bekommen angesagt. Ich bekam, aufgrund meines gestrigen Posts in Sachen der Kündigung meiner Kooperation mit Mawa so viele Nachrichten von euch (die ich natürlich auch alle beantwortet habe). Vielen Dank für euren Zuspruch und eure Meinungen zu dem Thema 👍🏻. Nachdem ich auch die letzte Nachricht beantwortet hatte, schaltete ich mein Handy in den Flugzeugmodus und fuhr ins Revier und genoss die Ruhe 😃

Manchmal muss es schnell gehen! Du fährst eine morgendliche Revierrunde, blickst durch das pard_germany Osprey 4K 2.0 und entdeckst auf einer Wiese eine Rotte Sauen. Da weit und breit kein Sitz in der Nähe war, entschied ich mich die Ladefläche des Pickups als Auflagefläche zu nehmen. Die RS700 auf den Gewehrgurt aufgelegt auf der Ladefläche, den linken Ellbogen auch auf der Ladefläche und den Körper an die Seitenwand gelehnt ergibt eine sehr stabile Schiessposition.
