Not all repairs are about holes. A failing seam can make an otherwise perfect sweater unwearable.
We always replicate the original seam construction, working with a needle and hook to match both the method and the tension of the factory stitch. The goal is a repair that behaves exactly like the original: no pulling, no puckering, no weak point.
ALLUDE CASHMERE CLINIC
Repair before you replace!
The earlier a hole is caught, the easier it is to fix. We check every garment under specialised lighting at the Clinic. At home, try holding yours up to a bright window — the light reveals weak spots and early damage that are otherwise invisible. Make it a habit at the start of each season. If you find something, don’t wait. Link in bio to book a repair.
The most important thing to know about treating a stain on cashmere: don’t rub the knit against itself. Instead — apply a specialized wool and cashmere detergent (we recommend our wash) directly onto the spot, pat gently, and rinse with 30 degree water(test with your elbow first). Repeat if needed. The fibre is delicate enough that the method matters as much as the product.
The kind of repair you won’t be able to find afterwards.
Invisible mending works by reweaving the damaged area using thread that matches the original yarn — in colour, weight, and structure. When it’s done, there’s nothing to see. Book your repair via the link in bio
Not every repair begins with a needle. To match the colour of this melange green knit, we blended several yarn shades until we achieved a perfect color match.
Invisible mending is all in the detail.
Last night we gathered at HQ to learn the art of invisible mending. Participants joined us from Brazil, Italy, Luxembourg, Switzerland and Germany. It was an evening of careful, considered work — and the beginning of a skill that will stay with you. Thank you for spending this evening with us. Repair before you replace.
Invisible mending is not intuitive, it is learned. In our masterclass, each step is demonstrated on a larger knit structure, making every stitch visible and understandable before participants apply the same techniques themselves.
We are looking forward to greet everyone who registered for the masterclass in a few days. “Repair before you replace”

You will leave with a solid foundation in the technique — learning on thicker fabric, then on fine knit — the rest comes with practice, at home, with your own knits.

The masterclass takes place at Allude Cashmere Headquarters in Munich — a space built around the craft of cashmere, from design to repair.
The group is kept deliberately small so that every participant works closely with our expert Dilek throughout the evening.

There are almost no invisible menders left. Dilek Can is one of them. A trained Schneidermeisterin, she found that invisible mending was simply not taught anymore — so she had work it out herself. How to fix the yarn, how to read a knitting pattern, which tools even existed for work this precise.
She figured it out alone so that, one day, others wouldn’t have to.
On June 17th, she teaches a small group in Munich.
