Seit einiger Zeit schon suchte ich, Alex Goia (33), nach einem größeren alpinistischen Projekt, etwas, das meine bisherigen Unternehmungen übersteigen sollte. März 2015 gerade dabei war, eine kleine Tour zu planen, stieß ich im Internet auf eine Liste aller Zweitausender in Bayern - 180 an der Zahl! In der ersten Sekunde wusste ich: "Das ist es!" Und seitdem kriege i
ch diese Idee nicht mehr aus meinem Kopf. Leider verletzte ich mich im Mai des gleichen Jahres (Kreuzbandriss) und musste "Projekt 180" daher verschieben. In diesem Jahr sah ich mich aufgrund meiner Ausbildung (Mediengestalter) und meiner Abschlussprüfung nächsten Januar abermals gezwungen, die Ausführung des Projektes auf 2017 zu verschieben. Jedoch freute ich mich, als diesen September ein alter Freund, Simon Byrne (32) aus Dublin/Irland, dem Projekt beigetreten ist. Simon ist professioneller Bergsteiger und Kletterer (adventureburn.com) und vollzog im Jahr 2014 "Project Mountain Goat" - als erster bestieg er alle 455 Gipfel Irlands in einem Jahr! Unser gemeinsamer Plan ist es nun, zusammen alle 180 Gifpel über 2000m in Bayern in den Monaten Juli & August dieses Jahres zu besteigen. Dabei geht es uns um das pure Abenteuer, unsere Liebe und Leidenschaft zur Natur und den Bergen und darum, diese Erlebnisse mit euch allen da draußen zu teilen.

For a while I, Alex Goia (33), was looking for a bigger mountaineering project, something that would exceed my previous ventures. Just as I was planning a little tour on March 18th 2015 I stumbled upon a list on the internet about all mountains above 2000m in the state of Bavaria - 180 in number! Straight away I knew: "That's it!" And since then I can't get this idea out of my head. Unfortunately I got injured (rupture of the cruciate ligament) the same year so I had to postpone "Projekt 180". And this year I had to postpone it again until 2017 due to my education (media designer) and the following final exams next January. But I was happy when an old friend, Simon Byrne (32) from Dublin/Ireland, joined my project this September. Simon is a mountaineer and a climber and completed "Project Mountain Goat" in 2014 - Hence becoming the first man to climb all 455 mountains of Ireland within one year! Our common plan now is to climb all 180 mountains in the state of Bavaria this summer in the months of July and August together. For us it's about the pure adventure, our love and passion of nature and the mountains and about sharing this passion with you all. Wish us luck and stay stunned for more updates!
