Working on double stick combinations today while enjoying a beautiful summer evening in Munich

Great session with some knife sparrring for warmup, lots of material for beginners (basic strikes, roof cycle drill, wall wrestling), followed by some sparring and cardio. Woof!

Intense session: Working on escaping tight spaces through drive-bys, groundwork (passing from half guard to mount with sticks involved), sparring and some "cardiovascular punishment" to top everything off! Woof!

Working on block-counters today. And getting acquainted with our new toys. Yes, it´s just a piece of garden hose at the end. It still hurts like a b*tch.

Playing with a concept from Dawid from Poland and applying it to stick and buckler: First video is the basic concept, the coach providing rhythmic strikes, the coachee trying to find an opening for the punch. Second step is the same principle but in motion. Third is the attempt to incorporate it into a basic sparing pattern, the coach giving predictable attacks, fourth is conditioned sparring, the coach trying to strike from a distance, the coachee trying to find an opening for a punch with the buckler or an entry into a clinch situation.
