There’s no clever way to dress this one up. We wanted those championships.
We came to Barcelona in a position to fight for three of them, but a gearbox replacement for #286 and an ABS problem for #28 changed our race completely.
What happened in our garage afterwards is the part I’m proud of.
The crew put both cars back into the race, #28 recovered all the way to P3 in Pro-Am, and #286 kept going to finish P5 in Am class.
There was no championship left to rescue by then, but nobody stopped working as if there was.
A huge congratulations to our #28 GetSpeed Team PCX Racing crew. To come back from where we were and still finish P3 in Pro-Am after 24 hours was an incredible recovery and absolutely deserved.
286 kept going to the finish too, despite everything that had happened.
We leave Barcelona without the titles we came for. That hurts, and there’s no reason to pretend otherwise.
But if you want to understand GetSpeed, don’t just look at where the cars finished.
Look at the people who refused to leave them in the garage.
