Meeting one of our yellow and black mates in Germany at the 2023 IFA Men’s Fistball World Championships.

Our title defence got underway on Saturday, not the on field result we were hoping for finishing in 6th out of 8 teams competing but it was great to see a number of new faces don the stripes.
Massive thanks to Georgia, Dan and Eli for making their Wombats debut and to Tahnee for being an honorary Wombat for the day.
Looking forward to the next round and trying to surge up the leaderboard.

2nd + 2nd + 2nd + 3rd + 4th + 2nd = 1st 🏆
Despite not managing to clinch an individual round victory this season our consistent performances were enough to clinch our first ever Roger Willen Shield!
The icing on the cake for this record breaking day was Benny ‘The Sasquatch’ Giles being named Best & Fistest on the day!
Big thanks to everyone who was part of the Wombats this historic season, looking forward to trying to defend our title next season!

A bit of a mixed bag at last weekends Fistivus LIX with 2 wins and 2 losses but it was enough to keep us on top of the ladder coming into this Saturday’s Fistivus LX.
We also picked up our second Best & Fistest Award with Mal Donnellon taking home the stein.
With just 2 rounds to go the mighty Westside Wombats are in it up to their eyeballs in the race for the 2021/22 Roger Willen Shield.

Close but no cigar again today for the Wombats, winning our first 3 matches but going down 12-10 in the deciding set of the 4th match to finish the day in 2nd place for the third tournament in a row.
However our consistent performances should see us jump back into top spot on the ladder at the halfway mark of the season.
Also congratulations to Carl ‘The Carlossus’ Creasey who was awarded the Best & Fistest Award for the day.

Another solid days fi***ng for the Wombats, 2 wins, 1 loss and a second place finish overall, keeping us well and truly in the season title race. Also our noob Nic ‘How Much Wood Would A Woodfist Fist If A Woodfist Would Fist’ Wood (working title) picked up the Rookie Of The Day Award.
