From Germany to Miami — the journey is officially underway.

After months of preparation, school applications, documentation, J-1 visa processing, countless conversations, and a shared commitment from everyone involved, David Blindow has officially arrived in the United States to begin his 2026–2027 High School Exchange experience.

And this moment says it all.

Waiting for David at Miami International Airport were his host family, David Ensignia Sr. and Jacit Gonzalez, ready to welcome him not simply into their home, but into their family and everyday life in Miami.

For David, this year represents much more than studying abroad.

It is an opportunity to grow academically.
To compete and develop as an athlete.
To experience a new culture.
To become more independent.
To build relationships that can last a lifetime.
And to continue preparing for his long-term dream of studying and playing college tennis in the United States.

At AVA, these are the moments that remind us why we do what we do.

The goal isn’t simply to send a student to America.

The goal is to build the right environment around the student so they can grow into the person and athlete they are capable of becoming.

After months in the United States, Hanno Niemeier has arrived back in Germany.

What started as a High School Exchange became so much more.

🇺🇸 A new school system.
🎾 A championship season with Miami Palmetto.
🏆 GMAC County Champions.
🏆 District Champions.
🌎 His first international ITF experiences.
🎾 High Performance training with David Ensignia Tennis Academy.
🤝 New teammates, coaches, friends and a second family.
✈️ And countless experiences far beyond the tennis court.

There were victories. There were challenges. There were lessons. And through all of them, there was growth.

A special thank you to Hanno’s family for trusting AVA with this journey, to everyone who welcomed and supported him in Miami, and to David Ensignia Tennis Academy for opening doors and becoming such an important part of his experience.

Congratulations to Lukas Boltzen on winning the 4. ETV Jugend-Cup 2026 (U14 Singles), a DTB J-3 national ranking tournament in Hamburg.

Throughout the week Lukas demonstrated composure, consistency and resilience, earning the title against a highly competitive field.

What makes this achievement even more meaningful is that it comes after months of consistent work—both in training and competition—as Lukas continues preparing for his long-term High School journey in the United States.

At AVA, we believe championships are built long before athletes arrive in America.

They are built through discipline, daily habits, strong academics, family support, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

While individual tournaments measure your own performance, team competitions teach something just as important: trust, leadership, resilience, and playing for something bigger than yourself.

Lukas has been enjoying a fantastic season—continuing to compete against older players, contributing to his team’s success, and preparing for the next chapter of his journey.

One of the most rewarding parts of the exchange experience is discovering that sports connect people across cultures, languages, and borders.

Hanno and Carlo from Germany, together with Diana from the Philippines and Jay from Aruba, enjoyed the FIFA Fan Festival in Downtown Miami while celebrating the global spirit that makes the World Cup 2026 so special.

As Germany takes on Ivory Coast today, we wish the German National Team the very best of luck. 🇩🇪
