Woodlike Ocean was born from the ocean; sustainable swimwear crafted out of ocean recovered fishing

Photos from Woodlike's post 07/07/2026

Some places make you want to stay a little longer. 🌊
Barefoot walks, early surf sessions, and time spent with the people who make every adventure even better.
We design our swimwear to move with you—whether you’re catching waves, exploring hidden beaches, or simply enjoying the moment.

Lately, many of you have noticed that more and more of our styles are selling out.
The truth is: we didn’t produce a new collection this first half of the year.
Not because we’ve stopped caring.
Quite the opposite.
After so many years of building Woodlike Ocean, we reached a point where we felt something needed to change.
Sometimes, when you’ve been doing something you love for a long time, you realize you’ve slowly drifted away from the parts that once brought you the most joy.
For me personally, I’ve been spending so much of my time on marketing, algorithms, content creation and all the things that come with running a brand today, that I’ve had very little time left for what I truly love: designing, creating, connecting with people, and bringing new ideas to life.
So instead of rushing into another collection, we decided to press pause.
To take a step back.
To breathe.
To find new inspiration.
To ask ourselves what we want Woodlike Ocean to become in the years ahead.
Because we don’t want to create just for the sake of creating.
We want every piece to have a purpose.
This little reset isn’t the end of our journey—it’s hopefully the beginning of a more intentional one.
We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported us over the years. Seeing you wear our bikinis, travel with them, surf in them and make memories in them has meant more than you’ll ever know. 🤍
Now we’re curious...
Have you ever reached a point in your life or work where you felt it was time to pause, rethink, and do things differently?
We’d genuinely love to hear your thoughts. 💙

A new week, a fresh start, and hopefully more moments by the water.
Wishing you a Monday that’s a little slower, a little lighter, and full of things that make you feel good. 🌊✨

Some moments don’t need filters. ✨
The last light of the day.
Conversations that last a little longer.
Barefoot walks along the shore.
Our classic white bikini was designed for exactly these moments—simple, timeless, and made to let your natural beauty shine.

Soft tones. Golden light. Endless summer. 💜✨
A reminder that beauty doesn’t have to be loud.
Sometimes it’s found in the quiet moments, the warm light, and the feeling of being completely yourself. ✨🌊

How do you feel about AI-generated content?

Lately, we’ve seen more and more brands using AI to create photos and videos. And honestly, we understand why. AI can create beautiful visuals, the clothing fits perfectly, there are no weather issues, no travel costs, and for small brands with limited budgets, it can seem like a very attractive solution.
But the more we think about it, the more we realize that it’s not the path we want to take.
For us, a photoshoot is about so much more than creating content. It’s about bringing creative people together. It’s about working with photographers, models, videographers, makeup artists, and all the talented individuals behind the scenes who bring a vision to life.
Every shoot tells a story. Every person involved adds something unique. The laughter between takes, the unexpected moments, the creativity that unfolds when people collaborate — that’s something AI can never truly replicate.
We also believe that sustainability is not only about the materials we use. It’s about the choices we make as a business. Supporting creative professionals, building real connections, and creating opportunities for people matters to us.
Sometimes we’re surprised to see sustainability-focused brands embrace AI-generated content without discussing its environmental impact or its effect on creative jobs. We know the topic isn’t black and white, and we’re not here to judge anyone’s choices.
For us, however, the human element will always come first.
We’d love to hear your thoughts:
✨ Do you mind if a brand uses AI-generated photos or videos?
✨ Do you think AI is a helpful tool or a step too far?
✨ What do you see as the biggest advantages and disadvantages?
Let’s have an open conversation. 💙🌊

Some days the ocean hands you a flower.
Other days it hands you wind, salt, and a wave worth paddling for.
We wear the same set for both. 💜

Is it just us, or did someone press pause on summer?
Mid-June and we’re still reaching for the wool socks instead of the beach towel. It feels a little more like autumn than bikini season out there 🤍🍂
For a small label like ours, these gray-sky weeks are honestly the hardest. We pour our hearts into every piece — designing, sourcing recycled fabrics, sewing in small batches in Europe — and then we just… wait for the sun together with you.
But here’s the beautiful thing about slow fashion: our pieces aren’t going anywhere. They’re made to last many summers, not just one trend cycle. The sun will come, the water will be warm again, and your Woodlike will be ready.
If you’d like to support us through this cloudy stretch, here are a few little things that mean the world:
🌊 Share a post or story with someone who’d love us
🌊 Tell a friend about us over coffee
🌊 When you do shop swimwear, choose quality that lives for years over fast fashion that lasts a season
🌊 Or simply send a sunny emoji our way — we feel it, promise
Thank you for being here. Summer is coming. We’re patient. 🌿
