It’s World Breastfeeding Week 🤍
A week to celebrate breastfeeding, the closeness, the comfort, the nourishment, the quiet moments, the oxytocin, the connection, and the incredible work our bodies can do to nourish our babies.
Breastfeeding can be such a beautiful part of the journey in motherhood, and there’s so much to celebrate in it.
But I also know this week won’t feel happy for everyone.
To those of you who this week doesn’t feel particularly happy for, I see you.
Maybe breastfeeding was difficult. Maybe it didn’t go how you hoped. Maybe you chose not to breastfeed, or you wanted to and couldn’t.
There’s space for the complicated parts of breastfeeding too.

So many of us arrive at birth carrying years of being the “good girl.”
Be polite.
Don’t make a fuss.
Don’t ask too many questions.
Don’t be demanding.
Don’t disappoint people.
The thing is, we don’t leave those beliefs at the door when labour begins.
We bring them into the birth space with us.
They show up when you stay quiet instead of asking questions.
When you say yes when you really mean no.
When you’re more focused on keeping everyone else comfortable than listening to yourself.
That’s why birth preparation isn’t just about learning your options.
It’s about learning to trust yourself, use your voice, and take up space.
This is exactly the kind of work we do inside my 1:1 hypnobirthing course. And from July, I’ll also be offering a brand-new mini course and online options too. [ I am so excited for this! 🙌 ]
Send me a DM if you would like to know more about my courses or visit my website [ 🔗 in bio ] to book your course now. 💛

Last year, I was invited onto Sallyann Beresford ✨Bestselling Author • Podcaster podcast alongside Margo from P4Moms Dr. Margo K, DPT, CSCS, PCES to talk about postpartum prolapse, the lack of prolapse awareness in prenatal education, and why that needs to change.
As part of that conversation, I asked a question about prolapse awareness, which Margo kindly shared on her Instagram story. The responses from her followers speak volumes.
Prolapse shouldn’t be taboo.
Many people living with postpartum prolapse feel angry that nobody warned them it could happen or where to seek support. And as a mum who has experienced postpartum prolapse myself, and as a hypnobirthing teacher, I understand exactly why.
That’s why I have created a FREE 4-step guide to prolapse awareness for birth workers.
Not to create fear, but to support more honest, evidence-informed conversations about pelvic health in birth education.
Because if we can talk about tearing in childbirth education and ways to reduce the risk, then we can talk about prolapse too.
Birth education isn’t about fear.
It’s about informed choice, reducing risk where possible, and knowing where to find support if you need it.
Too many people are discovering prolapse exists only after birth. It’s distressing, and it doesn’t have to be this way.
If you agree and want to learn more, comment “PROLAPSE” below or send me a DM to download your FREE 4-step guide and start bringing prolapse awareness into your birth education courses.

………
You cannot escape birth.
The only way out is through.
Through each wave.
Through each breath.
The greatest power in birth is found in surrender.
Surrender to control.
Surrender to the moments when your body takes over and your mind lets go.
Surrender to the breath that carries you through each contraction.
One breath.
One wave.
One moment at a time.
Surrender to expectations.
Trust the unfolding.
Because birth is not something to control.
It is something to move through.
And perhaps that is where its greatest power lies,
not in controlling birth,
but in allowing birth to transform us. 🤍✨
[ P.S I talk a lot about surrender in my 1:1 hypnobirthing courses. Because In birth, you cannot fully let go if your mind still feels unsafe. Letting go requires preparation. Preparation that helps you feel safe enough to release control and trust the process. If you’re ready to prepare for birth, and live in Hamburg, Germany - I’d love to support you. Send me a DM ]
