Refereeing Scandal in NRNA Cup 2026, Stuttgart !!
2 Clear Penalties not given
Numerous offside of our Opponent not given
Multiple foul against us not given
Rather multiple yellow card shown to us
UNACCEPTABLE ❌❌❌
We, as a team, are really sad to share that the biggest Nepali football competition in Germany had the worst set of referees, who refereed the group-stage games on Ground 2 (far west ground).
Darmstadt was the victim of the worst refereeing decisions, which costed us early exit in the tournament.
Our last group-stage match ended in a 1–0 loss, where a draw would have been sufficient for us to go through.
Timeline of the match:
From the first minute, the referee looked unprofessional, just standing and giving decisions from the centre of the pitch.
Every time we asked for an explanation for a decision (which is normal in a football match), the referee replied, “I have been playing football for 25 years. I know better than you guys.”
Every decision was taken against us.
An early foul near the box was clearly at least a meter inside the box. The referee took almost a minute to make a decision and gave a free kick outside the box. He also gave a yellow card for protesting.
Throughout the whole match, almost every foul was given against us, where even the slightest knowledge of football could have detected otherwise.
The craziest decision of the whole match came when there was a foul inside our 18-yard box. Our defender then played the ball to our winger, who would have been one-on-one with the goalkeeper. The referee pulled the play back to the box after the ball had already been received by our winger.
When we asked for an explanation, the referee laughed and told us, “Don’t cry around. You cannot play football.”
Such a shame.
Four yellow cards in a game where no such serious fouls were committed by our players is crazy. After the match, the same referee was seen drinking b**r, walking around with a b**r in his hand and selling b**r at the kiosk. And this was supposedly a professional referee.
It should have been the NRNA Cup, not a Beerpokal.
This kind of refereeing performance is not acceptable in such a big tournament. It kills the spirit of a team that only wants a fair game.
Some of the referees were really on point and showed no bias at all, and we appreciate that. We hope these kinds of concerns will be taken seriously and addressed in the future.
Thank you, NFC Stuttgart, for organising the NRNA Cup, we appreciate the effort 👍
And congratulations to NFCH e.V on a well-deserved victory.🏆 It was some battle against the Champions in Group stage😉
