We have a big announcement. You can now start your adventure with Avelo Diver, our new entry-level scuba course designed around you.
Experience the beauty of the underwater world with your first breath from a regulator.
Learning to dive can now begin with a lighter, safer, and more connected way to dive using the Avelo System. With Avelo, your adventure continues after your dive day with Avelo Edge, a post-dive review tool to help you understand your personal performance from each dive.
Avelo Edge guides you in tracking your progress and provides tips that help you prepare for future dives, so they’re even better.

Already certified? Learn the essentials and become an Avelo Diver.
Avelo Essentials is designed for certified divers who want to learn to dive the Avelo System. Formerly called Recreational Avelo Diver, or RAD, the new name reflects the role of the course more clearly: it is the essential introduction to the system, not an optional add-on.
Through eLearning and two instructor-led dives, you will learn how the Avelo System works and apply it in the water. Stabilized buoyancy reduces unnecessary correction. Streamlined design supports more natural movement.
Your instructor will also help you connect what you experience during the dive with clear insights into your movement, control, and efficiency. Because the Avelo System captures meaningful dive data, you can explore your performance after the dive and better understand how your skills are developing.
The course includes:
• eLearning you can complete on your schedule
• Two dives with an Avelo Instructor
• Guided insight into your movement, control, and efficiency
• Avelo Diver certification upon completion
Learn the essentials. Feel the difference. Dive lighter. Move easier. Understand your performance.
