What an insane weekend it’s been here in Marma! 🔥

The Pump Track World Youth Challenge and Velosolutions UCI Pump Track World Championships Qualifier on Saturday, followed by Round 5 of the Scandinavian Pump Track Series on Sunday.

Over 260 entries from 22 countries throughout the weekend, making this one of the biggest pump track weekends to date in Scandinavia!

A huge thank you to all the riders, families, coaches, supporters, timing crew, commissaires, media crew, our speaker Max, and of course, a massive thank you to Marma Sk pumptrack for organizing such an incredible event!

The Velosolutions Pump Track World Championships Qualifier in Middelkerke, Belgium saw a full day of close racing, fast laps and home crowd support as riders battled for the remaining tickets to Beijing.

was the rider to beat all day. The Belgian National Champion set the pace from qualifying, lowered the track record again in the semi-finals with a 28.033, and looked on course for victory in the final. Tristan Borel and Kristaps Vekša matched each other run after run throughout the day, with Tristan taking the semi-final before becoming the first rider under 28 seconds with a winning time of 27.915 in the final. Didi was flying in his final run but ran wide in the second-last corner, handing Tristan victory by just 0.169 seconds.

Already qualified after winning in Spain, julieheusequin was once again the fastest rider on the day. Racing on home soil, she topped every round and set a new women’s track record. Robyn Gommers improved with every run and closed the gap throughout the day, but couldn’t stop Julie from taking another victory. Kristína Nováková showed plenty of speed but couldn’t put it together when it mattered most, losing to Robyn in the semi-final with a World Championships place on the line before finishing fourth.

With Julie already qualified that winning ticket to Beijing went to Robyn Gommers.

Fast laps, fierce battles and another unforgettable day on the Road to Beijing. 🇿🇦🔥

Pretoria delivered an action-packed stop on the Road to the 2026 Velosolutions UCI Pump Track World Championships, with South Africa’s fastest riders lining up at Eduplex Pump Track to battle for their place on the biggest stage in pump track racing.

In the Elite Women’s category, Miyanda Maseti OLY was untouchable. Consistently quick from qualifying through to the Big Final, she claimed the win ahead of Lesotho’s Khothalang Leuta to secure her place at the World Championships in Beijing this October. Anastasiia Beskrovnaya😼 rounded out the podium in third, with Jade Gwen Ann Pringle finishing fourth.

The Elite Men’s racing was just as fierce. Already qualified for Beijing after winning the China Qualifier earlier this year, Илья Бескровный once again showed his class by taking the overall victory in Pretoria. Andrew Posthumus delivered a superb performance to finish second, earning the South Africa’s qualification spot, while Doran Mathewson completed the podium in third ahead of Deagan in fourth.

The future of South African pump track racing also turned heads. U17 rider Matthew Fulton stopped the clock in a blistering 23.695 seconds, a time quicker than every Elite Men’s rider on the day except Beskrovnyi. Safe to say, he’s a name to watch.

GERMANY! That was just next level 🇩🇪

Temperatures soared to 39°C as riders and spectators packed the Velosolutions Pump Track in Köngen, Germany, for one of the hottest qualifiers of the season.

Despite the challenging conditions, an amazing crowd lined the track throughout the day, creating an incredible atmosphere as a stacked international field delivered some of the fastest and most competitive racing of the year. With several upsets and razor-thin margins in the knockout rounds, every run counted.

In the women’s race, Belgium’s Aiko Gommers powered her way to victory ahead of Poland’s Lena Szerling , while France’s Lauryne Sutur secured third place after winning the small final.

The men’s competition delivered plenty of drama. Germany’s Fritz Rose thrilled the home crowd with victory after battling through the knockout rounds against an exceptionally strong field. Slovakia’s finished second, while fellow Slovak Daniel Hradský completed the podium in third.

With Köngen now in the books, the road to the 2026 Velosolutions UCI Pump Track World Championships continues.
