🐀 GYM RATZ ON TOUR – PUMP’D GYM REVISIT | LAINDON, ESSEX

After an incredible visit, workout and experience at PUMP’D Gym in Episode 3, we knew there was only one thing to do…

GO BACK. 🐀🔥

This time, we returned for Episode 3 – REVISIT, and PUMP’D has continued to evolve.

A few new pieces of kit, the same insane atmosphere, and everything you could want from a true bodybuilder’s heaven. 💪

We also took full advantage of Revive By Leigh, with Leigh providing another one of her IV treatments — because apparently training like an animal wasn’t enough punishment for one day! 😂💉

But one of the biggest highlights of the revisit was meeting IFBB Pro husband and wife duo, Llewellyn and Carly Davies.

Both have incredible experience within the bodybuilding world, and we’re genuinely excited that they’re now going to play a part in GR Director Michal’s journey to the stage. 🏆

From training to recovery, equipment to experience, and now bringing some serious bodybuilding knowledge into the journey…

PUMP’D continues to deliver.

We’re heading back to where the Gym Ratz UK Gym Tour began… Swole Gym, Ripley! 🔥

When we first visited Swole for Episode 1, owner Max had already created something special — a gym with a proper community, great atmosphere and a clear vision for where he wanted to take it.

Well… that vision just got a whole lot bigger. 👀

Swole Gym has expanded into the unit next door, creating even more space and adding a serious list of new facilities to an already impressive gym.

The expansion now includes:

🔥 New Sled Track – more space to push, pull and suffer!
🏋️ Additional Squat & Deadlift Racks – because apparently there’s no such thing as enough racks!
🧘 Brand-New Studio – hosting Puppy Yoga, Pilates, posing classes, coaching and much more.
☀️ New Sunbed Room
💼 Relocated Office
…and plenty more changes throughout the expanded space.

What started as a great gym has continued to evolve into something much bigger — not just in terms of square footage, but in what Swole can now offer its members and the wider fitness community.

So, naturally, we had to come back and see what Max and the team have been up to.

Episode 1 was the beginning. This is the Swole Gym comeback. 💪🐀

That’s the last time I remember stepping foot in this place — back then known as Muscle Inc.

A gym that had a huge impact on my strength and training journey.

Old-school mindset.
Old-school atmosphere.
No fancy nonsense — just grit, sweat and getting the job done every time you walked through those doors.

Funny how you can walk past somewhere years later and suddenly a load of memories come flooding back.

10+ years on… and the place still has that feeling.

🐀 GYM RATZ WELCOMES OUR NEW AMBASSADOR

We’re proud to introduce the newest member of the Gym Ratz Team — a man whose journey is built on resilience, dedication and a genuine love for bodybuilding.

His fitness journey began at just 19, when he first picked up weights at Jocha’s Gym. After years of ups and downs, including back surgery that saw his weight drop to just 63kg, he found his way back to training and began rebuilding.

At 42, he stepped onto the bodybuilding stage after being encouraged by amateur bodybuilding legend David Steca — and he hasn’t looked back.

Since then, he has gone on to claim multiple titles, including 3 NAC UK titles in Classic & Masters Classic.

His latest title came alongside lifelong friend Jocha, who sadly passed away shortly afterwards. That achievement — and Jocha’s memory — now fuels his ambition to become the best version of himself.

Today, he enters an extended off-season, focused on bringing up his weaknesses before making his return to the stage in around 18 months.

WHY GYM RATZ?

Because Gym Ratz is about more than looking the part.

It’s about the journey. The setbacks. The work. The people who help you along the way.

And most importantly — never stopping.

We’re proud to have him representing Gym Ratz and can’t wait to follow the next chapter of his journey.
