GOOD GIRL, BAD TIMES ✨
Performance Project with Kelvin O. Hardy

We’re looking for dance artists to join Kelvin O. Hardy’s new Performance Project “Good Girl, Bad Times.”

A movement meditation on love, lust, desire and transformation, the project moves between structured and free movement to explore heartache, infatuation, endings, rebirth and personal transformation.

Working through Kelvin’s distinctive movement language – shaped by Black American and European dance cultures and aesthetics – the group will explore, create and develop a shared choreographic language together, culminating in a performance at marameo on December 2.

As part of the selection process, we invite you to first take one of Kelvin’s Wednesday classes at marameo. It’s a chance to experience his movement language and working approach – and for Kelvin to get to know you as a dancer before forming the group.

marameo is looking for administrative support to join our team and help with the organizational side of our daily studio life.

The role includes general administration as well as coordinating our Studio Evenings, Contemporary for Dancers and front desk team, alongside supporting other ongoing projects.

We’re looking for someone who is organized, reliable and independent, with experience in office management and administration, a strong connection to contemporary dance and a good knowledge of marameo and Berlin’s contemporary dance scene.

✨ Freelance position or Midijob
✨ Starting as soon as possible
✨ Regular presence at marameo is essential
✨ Fee / salary negotiable depending on experience & qualifications

PERFORMANCE PROJECT with Heidi Weiss ✨

One week of training, creating and performing together.

Led by Heidi Weiss, the Performance Project combines Weissmann Technique with improvisation, movement phrases and composition. Throughout the week, the group will explore different creative approaches and develop solos, duos, trios and group sections into a 5–10 minute performance piece.

The work will be presented as part of our marameo Summer Celebration on August 22.

SUMMER CAMP ☀️💥

Join us for four afternoons full of dance, movement, creativity & fun! Together with Chiara Schmiedel, young dancers will explore contemporary dance, freestyle, improvisation and acrobatic elements – from floorwork and lifts to rolls, turns and jumps.

Throughout the camp, the group will create their own choreography and finish the week with a small showing for family & friends. ✨

SEQUENTIAL FLOW: FROM IMPULSE TO EXPRESSION ✨

Join Manuel Meza for a five-day intensive exploring sequential impulses, energetic pathways and fluid movement.

Rooted in the intersection of modern and contemporary dance techniques and improvisation, this workshop combines a grounding technique class with choreographic phrases, movement invention tasks and improvisational scores. Together, you’ll cultivate a charged physical presence, awaken the spine and discover the joy of movement while pushing beyond physical and mental boundaries.
