There is something I keep noticing after years of teaching yoga and working with people in relational spaces.
We don’t just bring our bodies onto the mat.
We bring our patterns.
The way we handle pressure.
The way we respond to limits.
The way we speak to ourselves when things are difficult.
Yoga makes this visible, not by changing who we are, but by revealing how we already relate.
And once you start seeing that, it becomes harder to unsee it.
Not because yoga is trying to fix anything.
But because it keeps reflecting the same simple truth back to us:
how we move through a practice is often how we move through life.
And from there, something becomes possible:
to meet ourselves more clearly, as we are.

After more than 10 years of teaching, I’ve seen people I’ve seen people get caught up in over handstands, flexibility, advanced poses, and even “being good” at meditation.
The same mindset that exhausts them in daily life often follows them onto the mat.
Trying harder.
Performing better.
Fixing themselves.
Yet the most profound transformations I’ve witnessed have very little to do with physical ability.
They happen when people stop asking:
“How can I improve?”
And start asking:
“What am I actually feeling right now?”
The deeper work is changing how we relate to ourselves.
What has your practice been teaching you, beyond the physical?

I don’t post my practice online often.
Not because it should stay hidden, but because I’ve noticed what changes when it becomes visible.
Attention shifts. From feeling to observing. From being inside the practice to how it appears from the outside.
For me, yoga is a relationship, not a performance.
And some things stay more true when they are not turned into content.
Not everything meaningful needs to be witnessed to be real.
I also bring this into my teaching ,especially in trainings with new yoga teachers: practice is something to live, not to display.

Thinking about our retreats in Crete, I found this photo lifting myself in Utpluthih asana with a big smile.
Levinthos has a quiet way of reminding me what really matters. Simple days, deep breaths, and moments of presence that stay long after the retreat ends.
Something shifts when we give ourselves time and space to simply be.
Already looking forward to July.💙

In two days, The Art of Intimacy retreat begins.
As we prepare to gather, I find myself reflecting on what intimacy truly asks from us.
Self-love is not simply praising myself or pretending I have it all together.
It is learning to welcome my real nature, the man who feels sensitive, who can be shaken by criticism, who sometimes fails, disappoints, or loses his way.
The art of intimacy begins here.
Not in perfection.
Not in performing confidence.
But in the quiet courage to meet myself honestly.
Real connection starts when I stop loving only the polished version of me
and begin embracing the man who doubts, who feels deeply, who sometimes falls short, who carries tenderness alongside strength.
Intimacy is the willingness to stay open with myself.
To soften instead of defend.
To receive myself fully even in moments of insecurity, failure, or disappointment.
Because the way I hold myself becomes the way I meet others.
When I learn to stay with my own heart,
I no longer need to chase connection.
I become available for it.
Loving myself is not self-admiration.
It is commitment.
A quiet promise: I will not abandon myself.
And from that place, intimacy becomes possible,
not only giving love,
but allowing myself to receive it.
