Oh hi Amsterdam 💘

I showed up to the PayPal office on day one of my period with a Coca-Cola in a coffee cup and taught a room full of leaders what feminine performance actually looks like.

The irony of it all was that this keynote was originally (& intentionally) planned during my ovulation phase. It’s when I usually feel my most energized and confident self. But a heavily delayed cycle after traveling had other plans.. 😅

So instead, I walked into the room bleeding (and yes, I told them this too), asked for a Coca-Cola in a coffee cup, and taught them everything I know about feminine performance anyway.

“I was afraid you might tell us everything we’re doing is wrong. But what you’re doing is showing us how to integrate this in a way that actually works.”

That was one of their senior leaders after the session.

I spent the morning with their team talking about feminine performance in the workplace. How the current model was built around one type of body, one type of output, one type of energy, and what that is costing the women inside this framework.

2 hours later and the women in that room left feeling seen, the men felt more empathy towards women and they all left with something they could actually use.

And we are having lunch in June to talk about how PayPal integrates this further.

This is why my mission has never been only about fempreneurs.

I coach feminine CEOs both in business ánd career. Because the woman who wants to lead her business and the woman who wants to lead her team are running on the same operating system.

And that operating system deserves a better environment than most workplaces are currently offering.

I sold the 10k-month promise for years. My own profile said €3k to €30k. So I’m allowed to tell you what’s wrong with it.

To be really fair, the number isn’t the problem. Plenty of women hit it, and I’m proud of every one of them.

The problem is what we don’t say out loud, which is that a 10k month built on a model that doesn’t fit YOU will cost you more than it pays.

I watched women I adore cross that line and feel something, but not the feeling I’d hoped for them.

“Okay, I hit it once. How do I maintain it? I’m already freaking out.”
“What if I’m a one-month wonder?”
“I think I just got lucky this month.”

I understand that fear so deeply, because I’ve sat in it myself.

The number arrives and the fear arrives with it, because nothing underneath her has changed yet. The strategy was still borrowed. The calendar still owned her.

She reached the milestone she’d worked so hard for and immediately started bracing for the month it all falls apart.

And here’s what I want you to know >> A 10k month is a result. It says nothing about who you are, or whether you can do it again without burning through yourself to get there.

What I hold space for now is harder to put on a profile. Whether your business actually fits how you operate, so the next 10k comes from building around your own design instead of pushing harder than last month. That kind of growth doesn’t leave you afraid of your own success.

The number was never the goal. It was only ever the proof we reached for because it was easy to see, and you were always so much more than something that needed proving.
