What a week it has been at FSG 2026!

We managed to show that CTU.26 is a car with great potential and high performance on the track.

An especially important result is the time we managed to set during the manual autocross session, which ultimately brought us victory in this discipline. That is a major milestone for the team, as it is the first time in our history that we managed to step onto the top step of the podium here at FSG, the toughest competition on the Formula Student calendar.

In the end, we are leaving Hockenheim with:
1st place Manual Autocross🏆
2nd place Trackdrive
2nd place Helsing Challenge 2026

These placements, helped earn us 4th place overall in the Driverless Cup and 17th place overall in the EV Category.

With that, this challenging double-header has come to an end, and we are now shifting our focus to repairing our wheel assembly in time to come back stronger for the final competition of the season: FS ATA!

Our last day at FSG!

The competition has come to an end, with the last day traditionally belonging to the Endurance discipline. Based on our outstanding performance in autocross the day before, we lined up at the starting line with the other four quickest teams in the Endurance final session.

The car looked great on the track, setting solid lap times. Unfortunately, due to a mechanical failure in our planetary gearbox, we were unable to finish the Endurance and had to retire the car on the 7th lap.

The evening ended with Award Ceremony No. 2, and with that, FSG 2026 has come to an end.

What a Day 5 at FSG it has been!

The day started off with preparation for the longest driverless discipline, the trackdrive. We successfully completed our run, improving our lap times on the track with each lap.

Right after the trackdrive, we completed the manual acceleration on the main straight before returning to the pits to prepare for the afternoon autocross session.

During the autocross session, we managed to complete all four runs, with our final run clocking in at 72.93 seconds. This turned out to be the second-fastest run of the session! (Not accounting for any time penalties).

The last event of the day was Award Ceremony No. 1, where we collected the prize for 2nd Place in the Helsing Challenge 2026, a special award presented by one of the competition sponsors.

Day four at Formula Student Germany!

We started the day early with DV Autocross. After that, we had a quick lunch to prepare for the action-packed afternoon ahead. It started with the Helsing Challenge finals,a special award competition in which our autonomous team members participated.

Afterwards, it was time for DV Acceleration, where we experienced some issues during our first run that ultimately prevented us from rejoining the track on time to set a mark on the board.

However, we redirected our efforts to DV Skidpad, where we managed to successfully complete both runs. The evening finished with the manual Skidpad, which, unlike any other discipline, was driven at night!

Day three at Hockenheimring is behind us!

We started the day bright and early with the Engineering Design and Cost & Manufacturing event, which lasted for over three whole hours. After a quick break for lunch, we continued with the Business Plan presentation. We also managed to collect all our remaining scrutineering stickers - passing the rain test, driverless inspection, and both the autonomous and manual brake tests.

With that, we are officially done with scrutineering and ready to hit the track tomorrow!

Day 2 was a full blast!

We began at 6:00 when we queued up for the Accumulator Re-inspection. After collecting the Accumulator sticker, we headed for Electrical Re-inspection, as we could not finish up our regular slot without the Accumulator. At the end of the day, we even managed to start the Autonomous Inspection, while successfully finishing the Electrical Inspection.

We ended a long day with a Team Welcome and headed up to bed early to be ready for the EDE + Cost presentation the following day.

First day at FSG | Formula Student Germany is behind us!

Due to the limited number of people allowed in the pits and only scheduled technical inspections being available, the first day at the Hockenheimring was quite quiet.

We passed the Mechanical Inspection and made major progress in the Accumulator Inspection. Now, we are ready for re-scrutineering early tomorrow.

Third race of the season is here and it’s none other than FSG! 🇩🇪🏎️

We’ve made it to Hockenheim for one of the biggest challenges of the Formula Student season. Time to put everything we’ve learned so far to the test and give it everything we’ve got.

That’s a wrap on FSS | Formula Student Spain 2026

The second competition of the season is behind us! After an intense week in Spain, we finished 12th overall in EV category and, most importantly, took home the overall victory in the Driverless category! 🏆

Our CTU.26 delivered an incredible performance across all DV dynamic events, securing:
🥇 1st place – DV Skidpad
🥇 1st place – DV Acceleration
🥇 1st place – Trackdrive

We’re incredibly proud of what the team and CTU.26 achieved in Spain!
