THIS YEAR CY THROWDOWN WILL BE EPIC! WE ARE CALLING CROSSFITTERS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD TO VISIT OUR ISLAND AND COMPETE FOR CASH PRIZES TOTALING 15,000 EURO! Cyprus Throwdown is a two-day event powered by CrossFit Cosmos. This October of 2016 marks our 3rd annual Cyprus Throwdown Event powered by CrossFit Cosmos and taking place on the beautiful island
of Cyprus. Cyprus is an island in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea It is the third largest and third most populous island in the Mediterranean, and a member state of the European Union as well as part of the Eurozone. The geographical position of Cyprus is situated right at a key point between 3 continents (Europe, Asia and Africa) and therefore an ideal place for traveling. A big portion of all proceeds from the event will be donated to CY DIABEATERS, a new non-for-profit foundation dedicated to raise awareness for Type 1 diabetes, to show all children diagnosed with diabetes and their families how leading a healthy and active lifestyle can move you beyond your perceived limits, and to offer to all children in Cyprus whose lives have been touched by diabetes, access to the latest information on new discoveries and evolving therapies. REGISTRATION IS TAKING PLACE THROUGH WODCAST. Athletes will have to earn their spot through qualifying WODs, where the best will be invited to the final event. The event will take place in Limassol, Cyprus on October 8th and 9th of 2016. MEDIA
The event will be covered. again, live by our BROADCASTER and TELECOM PARTNER PRIMETEL, as well as on social media. Radio stations, newspapers, magazines and online news platforms will be there too. We promise a highly professionally organized event for sponsors, athletes and the spectators. The organizers are offering grand prizes in cash totaling 15,000 Euro and our sponsors are offering great products to all the winners. We will soon provide you with details as well as discounts from our sponsors on hotels as well as on food and transportation.
