THE BEAUTIFUL HEART-CENTERING PRACTICE I BEGIN MY DAY WITH

The first thing we do in the morning will have an effect on the rest of our day. Think of it as the foundation by which all your further experiences will be built on.

This is why before I jump out of bed in the morning I practice the below pranayama practice.

I have found it keeps me emotional balanced; keeps a smile on my face throughout the day; awakens a deep sense of gratitude effortlessly; and removes all emotional obstacles when I know I need to focus and create something or be more active in my day. Put simply it’s become my greatest supporter and ally for my work, health and relationships.

Practice points:
1. As you wake up lie on your back.
2. Place both hands on the your heart centre.
3. Expand your heart energy all the way out until you feel you have reached Anandamaya kosha, your bliss body.
4. Visualise a blue 12-pettaled flower at your heart centre.
5. As you breath in God’s life force energy, imagine the petals closing.
6. Pause for a count of three.
7. At this moment of stillness you are charging the centre of your heart and the flower bud with this sacred energy.
8. As you breathe out see the blue petals opening and your energy expanding out to Anandamaya kosha or as far as you can.
9. At the end of the exhalation pause for a count of three. Realise this is God’s stillness and the source of all creation and put a smile on your face.
Repeat nine times.

Enjoy your day.
Love and light
