OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: USMTA INSTRUCTOR REQUIREMENTS
**To all members, regional directors, and practitioners of the United States Muay Thai Association (USMTA),**
Under the direct authority of Pramarjarn George Constantinou, the USMTA hereby issues a formal clarification regarding the designation of **Kru** and the mandatory grading requirements for certified instruction.
# # **Definition of Kru Status**
The title of **Kru** within the USMTA is strictly reserved for instructors who are fully registered and in compliance with the official Rules and Regulations of the Association. Holding a high rank alone does not grant the title; official registration under the Pramarjarn is mandatory.
**The Khan Grading Hierarchy**
To eliminate confusion regarding instructor levels and certifications, the following standards are now in effect:
* **10th Khan:** This rank represents a senior student level. **The 10th Khan is NOT a Kru Certificate.**
* **11th Khan:** Designated as **Assistant Instructor**. This level permits the holder to assist in training but does not carry the full title of Kru.
* **12th Khan:** This is the **First Level of Instructor**. Achievement of the 12th Khan is the minimum requirement to be recognized as a certified **Kru** within the USMTA.
Mandatory Compliance
Any individual representing themselves as a USMTA Kru must meet the **12th Khan** grading requirement and maintain active registration status. Failure to adhere to these regulations may result in the voiding of instructional credentials.
