Fasting. Some benefit, others suffer.
I'll tell you my story now.
Fasting isn't a question of willpower. It's a tool. And like any tool, some help, others harm. Ayurveda knew this three thousand years ago. It was called Langhana. Relieving therapy.
So. Who does it work for?
Kapha. Dense, sluggish, prone to weight gain. You eat and then want to lie down. That's what fasting is for you. It lights your proper fire, flushes out toxins, and stirs up that frozen microwave. One fasting day a week—warm water with ginger and honey, or kitchari. That's yours.
Pitta. Fire. Everything burns, digests, and boils. But you shouldn't fast on water—the gastric fire starts to burn itself without food. Acidity, irritability, heartburn. Sound familiar? Here you go. You need a gentle detox: cooling juices, coconut kitchari, warm milk with ghee. Not fasting—relief.
Vata. Thin, anxious, and easily fatigued. Listen—you don't need to fast. Here you go. Fasting will increase anxiety, disrupt sleep, and deplete the body. Classic texts clearly state: with excess Vata, there's the opposite langhan. Your detox: eliminate sugar and fast food, eat warm foods regularly. That's all.
⚠️ And one more thing. Even for Kapha, fasting is only suitable when there's strength. An exhausted person is not a candidate for fasting, no matter what their dosha.
Fasting is educational in nature. In-depth knowledge about the connection between psychics and doshas.

A single gaze from a king cobra commands instant and absolute respect. It doesn't roar, pace, or seek attention; it simply is. This animal’s power is derived from its inherent nature and its unshakeable, silent confidence. It is a potent reminder that true strength doesn’t have to be loud or reactive. When you know your value and understand your internal power, external noise becomes irrelevant. Insults lose their power when they are met with the indifference of a self-assured spirit.
There is profound freedom in deciding whose opinions get to enter your mental space. Much like the cobra’s hood creates a natural barrier, your self-worth should create a boundary that negative judgments cannot pe*****te. By placing a high value on your own evaluation and the feedback of the few you truly respect, you reclaim your emotional energy. You stop giving power to strangers and critics who do not know your journey. This quote isn’t just a sharp retort; it is a declaration of independence for your self-esteem.
Embracing this mindset requires practice and intention, but the peace it brings is worth the effort. Consider whose opinions you are currently allowing to rent space in your head, and whether they have actually earned that right. As you move through your day, channel the quiet energy of the cobra and focus inward. Where are you seeking outside validation, and how can you start valuing your own perspective first? Ask yourself: Whose opinion will I finally stop caring about today, and what personal truth will I celebrate instead?
Having this wisdom since my childhood and as long as I remember myself who knows and owns the journey.

Samadhi is our original condition, the natural state of inner stillness, where the mind rests in itself. It is the state from which all creation has arisen, and where true peace is found.
The practices of Heartfulness help prepare the heart and mind to settle into this centre. In that state, there is a calm free from any disturbance.
Samadhi is a return to what is most real within us. It is the center of our being.
