About the workshop:

Creating a Playground for Your Movement

Unlock the power of flowing energy through your body by learning one simple principle: let it go.

As tribal fusion dancers, we begin with the discipline of isolation—the hard skills that create the technical foundation for freedom of movement. We explore how movement is initiated, expanded, and connected through the body, using our feet, axis, and directions.
Through body waves, spinal waves, arm waves, and side undulations, we develop coordination, fluidity, control, and continuous flow—building the foundation for everything that follows.

From there, we step into “The Creator and the Canvas,” an exercise designed to take you out of your comfort zone and transform hard skills into soft skills. By releasing the need to control every movement, you learn to trust your body and surrender to the flow.

The goal is to create a space where movement feels natural, expressive, and alive—where technique supports freedom, and your body becomes the storyteller.

We are excited to introduce the second teacher of this year’s festival.

✨️Skevi Serena is the first Tribal Fusion dancer on the island and the organizer of the Cyprus Tribal Festival. She holds a degree in Physical Education, with a specialization in competitive dance (Latin Sport Dance), and is also the choreographer of the group Rosas Letal.

✨️Workshop description
In this workshop, you will learn a dynamic and thought-provoking choreography that challenges both body and mind. Expect unexpected combinations, creative transitions, and a playful approach to movement that will push you out of your comfort zone and expand your dance vocabulary. A must-attend workshop for dancers who love complexity, creativity, and fresh perspectives in Tribal Fusion.
