The BFC Field Gun Crew are up early for their final training session before flying to the UK on Sunday to compete at the RNRMC Brickwoods Tournament next week.

There will be a field gun demonstration at 0830 this morning, supported by the primary school. Please come down and show your support to the crew. The field gun track is behind the Aki running track.

The BFC Field Gun Crew are training hard all week before they deploy to HMS Collingwood for the annual RNRMC Brickwoods tournament. They will be giving a field gun demonstration this Friday at 0830. The field gun tracks are behind the Stn running track.

Crew members and support staff needed for the Brickwoods tournament, 28 June-04 July. Staying in single person rooms at Portsmouth university with day subsistence provided. Why not come along and join the crew for this amazing event?

The Field Gun Crew is recruiting for the annual Brickwoods Tournament in Portsmouth from 29 June to 4 July 2026.

Field Gun is a unique team sport that combines strength, fitness, determination, and teamwork. Training can be physically demanding, but you’ll be supported every step of the way, and the sense of achievement and camaraderie makes it all worthwhile.

Whether you’re looking to challenge yourself, improve your fitness, or be part of a close-knit team working towards a common goal, we’d love to hear from you.

No previous experience is necessary—just a positive attitude and a willingness to get involved.
