🌴 Bahia The Beach in Boa Vista: have you been there? 🇨🇻

Some places in Boa Vista are not only about food or drinks.

They are about slowing down.

Feet in the sand, ocean in front of you, relaxed atmosphere, sun, wind and that simple holiday feeling that makes you forget the time.

Bahia The Beach, on Praia de Estoril in Sal Rei, is one of those places many travellers discover during their stay in Boa Vista, Cape Verde.

It is not an excursion.
It is not a place to rush.
It is more of a moment: sit down, look at the sea and enjoy the island slowly.

For those who have already been to Bahia The Beach / Bahia Beach Club:
would you recommend it for lunch, drinks, a beach day or sunset? 👇

Riu Touareg, Riu Palace Boa Vista, Riu Karamboa, VOI Praia de Chaves, Occidental, Marine Club, Sal Rei, Praia de Chaves, Estoril…

👶 Travelling to Boa Vista with small children? A useful tip for families 🌴🇨🇻

If you are preparing your holiday to Boa Vista, Cape Verde with young children, here is something good to know: you don’t always need to bring your baby stroller from home.

Between the airport, luggage, transfers, heat, sand and moving around the island, a stroller can quickly become one more thing to carry.

In Boa Vista, it is possible to rent a baby stroller / pushchair directly on the island, making your journey easier and lighter.

For many families, it is a much more practical solution: arrive, rent the stroller when needed and use it during your holiday.

This can be especially useful for families staying at Riu Touareg, Riu Palace, Riu Karamboa, Praia de Chaves, Sal Rei, VOI, Occidental or Marine Club.

For those who have already travelled to Boa Vista with small children: did you bring your stroller from home, or would you have preferred to rent one here? 👇

🌴 Morabeza Beach Club: one of those places that gives Boa Vista its rhythm 🇨🇻

Some places in Boa Vista are not just places to visit.
They are places where you slow down.

Morabeza Beach Club, on Praia de Estoril near Sal Rei, is one of those spots many travellers hear about sooner or later when staying on the island.

It is more than a beach bar or a restaurant by the ocean.
It is the kind of place where you stop for a drink, enjoy the sea breeze, have lunch or dinner, watch people coming from the beach and simply feel the Boa Vista atmosphere.

Not every memory from a holiday comes from a big excursion.
Sometimes it is just a table near the sand, the sound of the ocean and that relaxed island feeling.

For anyone staying in Boa Vista, Cape Verde, Morabeza is definitely one of those names to know.

Have you been there already?
Would you go during the day, at sunset or in the evening? 👇

🚙 First time in Boa Vista? Here is one honest tip. 🇨🇻

If you want to understand Boa Vista, don’t judge the island only from your hotel or the beach in front of the resort.

Boa Vista is not an island you simply look at.
It is an island you cross, feel and live.

Sand tracks, wind, open landscapes, ocean views, wild places and that feeling of freedom you only get when you leave the usual tourist path.

For many travellers, a pick-up / 4x4 tour in Boa Vista becomes the highlight of the holiday.

But here is the important part: not every pick-up tour is the same.

Some are simple, quick island drives.
Others are more complete, more authentic and designed to show the real character of Boa Vista.

That specific kind of experience is the one many people consider the most beautiful excursion on the island. 🚙🌊

So my advice is simple:
don’t just choose a pick-up tour. Choose the right one.

Have you already done a 4x4 pick-up tour in Boa Vista? Was it your favourite experience? 👇

Dreaming of endless golden sand, crystal-clear waters, and breathtaking ocean views? Santa Monica Beach is a must-visit during your stay on Boa Vista, Cape Verde. Stretching for nearly 18 kilometers of untouched coastline, it is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful beaches in Cape Verde and a true paradise for nature lovers.

🚙 𝑯𝒐𝒘 𝒕𝒐 𝑮𝒆𝒕 𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆
Located on the island's southwest coast, Santa Monica Beach is best reached by 4x4 vehicle. The route includes sandy tracks and off-road terrain, so we highly recommend joining a guided excursion or traveling with an experienced local driver for a safe and enjoyable experience.

⚠️ 𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑾𝒆 𝑫𝒐𝒏'𝒕 𝑹𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒅
❌ Avoid driving to Santa Monica with a standard car. The unpaved roads and deep sand can easily cause vehicles to get stuck.
❌ Don't explore the area alone if you're unfamiliar with the island or the route.
❌ The ocean can have strong currents and powerful waves. Swim only when conditions are safe and always exercise caution.

💡 𝑶𝒖𝒓 𝑻𝒐𝒑 𝑻𝒊𝒑𝒔
✔️ Bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and a hat, as there are no facilities directly on the beach.
✔️ Wear comfortable footwear if you plan to walk along the coastline.
✔️ Visit early in the morning or late in the afternoon for cooler temperatures and the most spectacular light.
✔️ Help protect this natural paradise by taking all your rubbish with you and respecting the local environment.
