Paddles easy, listens well, fast and racy when you want it to be (Eric snapped ours getting barreled, of course) but still gives you stability and glide in mushier , weaker waves. Reman fácilmente, responden de maravilla, son rápidas y ágiles cuando quieres (Eric rompió la nuestra metiéndose en un tubo, obvio), pero también te dan estabilidad y deslizamiento en olas más suaves y débiles. Una tabla súper divertida para todo el verano. Si buscas tu tabla favorita para el verano, ven a verlas. Estamos aquí de 9 a 5 todos los días.

Trying to be more present on social media , so let's start with this. We often get asked what Kina means, a lot of people think it's my name (my name is Rachael and my husband is Eric) . The previous owners of the shop were our friends from New Zealand, they named it Kina Surf Shop and we kept the name once we took over , about 12/13 years ago. Kina is a Māori word meaning sea urchin, which is why some of our older logos look like a stylized urchin. We have kinas,urchins here, but not at our main beaches and breaks. They like rocky reefs , the sandbars at the beach breaks aren't for them. We found this one in a tide pool a few days ago just north of Hermosa. Anyway, now you know why our shop is called Kina, and our names (not Kina🤣). Looking forward to the upcoming season, we're open every day from 9am-5pm. ☀️ Estamos intentando aumentar nuestra presencia en redes sociales, así que empecemos por esto. A menudo nos preguntan qué significa Kina; mucha gente piensa que es mi nombre (me llamo Rachael y mi esposo, Eric). Los antiguos dueños de la tienda eran amigos nuestros de Nueva Zelanda; la llamaban Kina Surf Shop, y conservamos el nombre cuando la compramos hace unos 12 / 13 años pasado. Kina es una palabra Maori que significa erizo de mar, por eso algunos de nuestros logos antiguos parecen un erizo estilizado. Sí que hay erizos de mar por aquí, pero no en nuestras playas ni en los breaks principales. Prefieren los arrecifes rocosos; los bancos de arena en los breaks no son para ellos. Encontramos este en una poza de marea hace unos días, al norte de Hermosa. En fin, ahora ya sabéis por qué nuestra tienda se llama Kina, y nuestros nombres (no Kina 🤣). Estamos muy emocionados por el inicio de la temporada! Abrimos todos los días de 9:00 a 17:00.
