Today's mystery shop took me to Walgreens for a reveal compliance audit to test something important: Are cashiers checking IDs when customers purchase age restricted products? 🪪🍺
In this type of assignment, the cashier doesn't know they're being evaluated at first. If they don't follow the required ID verification process, the visit becomes a reveal, and I let them know they've just participated in a compliance audit.
These evaluations help businesses confirm their teams are following company policies and legal requirements, helping create a safer experience for customers.
I always find it interesting to see these compliance checks in action because even small details can make a big difference in daily operations.

Walgreens

Today is one of the hardest days of my life.

After exhausting every option we could think of, I had to make the heartbreaking decision to help Sheriff cross the Rainbow Bridge. He was only five years old, and I truly believed we would have so many more years together.

We fought so hard. We saw specialists, tried different treatments, hoped for miracles, and never gave up. But despite everything, he continued to lose muscle mass, and his little body just couldn't recover. As much as my heart wanted to keep him here, I couldn't let him continue to struggle.

Right now, my heart is shattered.

I may not be live for a few days, and I may not post any new content for a little while. I appreciate your patience, your kindness, and your understanding while I take the time I need to grieve.

If you would like to do anything for me, please send love, prayers, positive thoughts, or good vibes. I need them now more than ever.

I do have one small request. When I eventually return to going live, please don't ask me about Sheriff. I promise it's not because I don't love him or don't want to honor his memory. It's because I know myself, and I will completely fall apart.

My last mystery shop of the day is at one of my favorite stores... and I have a little confession. 🤭

Every time I'm assigned a mystery shop at Whole Foods, I have to wander over to the clothing section. Anyone else do this?

Their clearance rack is my guilty pleasure because they always have the cutest pieces, many are made from 100% organic cotton, and I love supporting clothing made by people who are paid fair wages. Finding an amazing deal while getting paid to be there? That's a win in my book!

This is just another one of the unexpected perks of mystery shopping. Every assignment is a little different, and sometimes you discover products and stores you never would have noticed otherwise.

If you've ever sold anything on Facebook Marketplace, this one's for you. 😂

I'm in the middle of moving, so I've been selling a lot of things. I make sure every listing includes the brand, the color, the measurements, the weight limit, whether it's pickup only, and that I don't do holds.

And somehow... I still get messages like:

"Do you have it in green?"

"Can you deliver it three hours away?"

"Can you hold it until next month?"

"What kind of brown is it?"

My personal favorite...

The listing says the stair stepper has a 300 pound weight capacity.

Someone asked if it would hold 350 pounds. 😅

I'm convinced some people look at one picture, skip the description completely, and just start typing.

🌊☀️ Day 4 in St. Augustine... and sadly, our last full day here. 💙

We started the morning the best way possible by taking the dogs to the beach. Watching them run through the sand, splash in the waves, and live their absolute best lives made my heart so happy. 🐾🌊

Then we headed to the adorable Lulu's Cupcakes & Bakery, where we enjoyed homemade chicken salad on freshly baked croissants. It was absolutely delicious! And y'all know I couldn't leave without dessert. 😅 I had an amazing Oreo cupcake that was every bit as good as it looked. 🧁

After lunch, we wandered through Crafts Without Borders, a charming shop filled with beautiful handcrafted treasures from artisans around the world. I could have spent hours in there!

We wrapped up our evening with dinner at Saltwater Cowboys, then made one final sweet stop at Mayday Ice Cream, which really hit the spot and was the perfect way to end our last full day in St. Augustine. 🍦

This trip has been everything I hoped it would be and more. Beautiful beaches, incredible local businesses, amazing food, and memories I'll never forget. I'm definitely sad to leave, but I already know this won't be my last visit.
