Day 1 begins here. 🌿

Welcome to the Afro Flow Yoga Fall Equinox 7-Day Challenge.

Today, we Return to Ground.

Before we release, rise, or move forward, we begin by reconnecting with what holds us — the breath, the body, the Earth, and the present moment.

This is your invitation to slow down.

To step away from the noise.

To feel your feet beneath you.

To breathe a little deeper.

And to remember that sometimes the first step toward renewal is simply allowing yourself to arrive exactly where you are.

Let today be about grounding.

No pressure.
No perfection.
Just presence.

Continue the Fall Equinox journey with us.

What if this season wasn’t asking you to do more — but to return to what grounds you? 🍂

Join us for the Afro Flow Yoga Fall Equinox 7-Day Challenge, a week of movement, breath, rhythm, reflection, and intentional practice designed to help you move into the new season with greater balance, presence, and connection.

Over seven days, we’ll journey together through practices of grounding, flow, stillness, release, rhythm, ancestral remembrance, and renewal.

Each day is an invitation to pause, listen, move, reflect, and reconnect — with your body, your breath, your rhythm, your lineage, your community, and the Earth.

Throughout the challenge, we’ll explore:

🌿 Grounding
💧 Flow and release
🕯️ Rest and stillness
🍂 Letting go
🥁 Rhythm and vitality
✨ Ancestral connection
🌳 Intention for the season ahead

As the seasons shift, we invite you to ask:

What are you ready to release?
What are you ready to root into?
What are you ready to carry forward?

Come move through the Fall Equinox with us.

Today, we begin our time at Oxford as part of 2026. ✨

It is an honor to bring Afro Flow Yoga into this gathering — a space dedicated to exploring healing through the connection of science, spirit, and the body.

Today, we will be sharing:

Healing Beyond Talk: Science, Spirit & the Rhythm of the Body: A Multisensory Experience of Embodied Healing through Afro Flow Yoga

📍 Town Hall, Main Hall
📅 14 September
⏰ 16:00–18:00
🌍 Join us live in Oxford or online/virtually

This multi-sensory, trauma-informed experience weaves together live music, rhythmic movement, meditative yoga, breathwork, ancestral storytelling, and multimedia soundscapes.

For years, we have held the belief that the body carries wisdom.

Through movement, rhythm, breath, music, story, and community, we are invited to listen more deeply to what the body knows, what it has carried, and what it is ready to release.

This work is rooted in care.

Care for the self.
Care for community.
Care for the planet.

As we share this practice at Oxford, we carry with us the heart of Afro Flow Yoga: embodied healing, ancestral wisdom, rhythm, compassion, resilience, and the reminder that healing is not only personal.

It is relational.
It is communal.
It is alive in the spaces we create together.

What does healing look like beyond words? ✨

This Monday, September 14, we are honored to join , where we will be sharing:

Healing Beyond Talk: Science, Spirit & the Rhythm of the Body: A Multisensory Experience of Embodied Healing through Afro Flow Yoga

This multi-sensory, trauma-informed experience weaves together live music, rhythmic movement, meditative yoga, breathwork, ancestral storytelling, and multimedia soundscapes.

Together, we’ll explore how rhythm, story, and somatic expression can support emotional integration, resilience, and the brain-body connection.

Through this practice, the body becomes a place of remembering, presence, and transformation — beyond the limitations of language alone.

Whether you are a clinician, practitioner, or seeker, this workshop offers a living bridge between science and spirit, evidence and experience, intellect and embodiment, individual healing and collective awakening.

No movement or dance experience is needed. All are welcome.

Leslie and Jeff sat down with Sonia from the for a heartfelt conversation on breath, music, healing, partnership, and the roots of Afro Flow Yoga.

Together, they reflected on the practices that carried them through the pandemic, the healing power of eye gazing, the way Afro Flow Yoga collaborates with the land itself, and how healing can ripple outward — from the personal, to the relational, to the collective.

Jeff also shared part of his healing journey after surviving Hodgkin’s Lymphoma following his work in 9/11 disaster recovery, and why listening to and advocating for the body matters deeply.

This conversation is tender, honest, and deeply rooted in the heart of Afro Flow Yoga.

A reminder that healing is not only something we do alone.

It lives in breath.
In rhythm.
In relationship.
In community.
In the land that holds us.

We invite you to listen in.

As we carry the energy of our Kripalu weekend forward, we do so with deep gratitude. 🌿

We carry the movement.
The music.
The breath.
The stillness.
The stories.
The release.
The joy.
The community.

Thank you to everyone who gathered with us, moved with us, and helped create a space of rhythm, reflection, and renewal. Special gratitude to and Stan Strickland for their guidance, presence, and inspiration.

May what was awakened continue to move gently through your life.

May you carry the rhythm forward.
May you remember the support of community.
May you keep returning to your body, your breath, and your own natural rhythm.

This is not the end of the practice.
Take this with you.
