US Sr Open prep day 1 in the books!

This is a video I did for a monthly subscriber!

This is easily one of my favorite drills for managing the length of the radius and controlling low point in both the forward / backwards dimension as well as the up and down dimension.

If you struggle with weight transfer and early release, give this a go! Let me know if you have any questions!

One of the biggest things player misunderstand when it comes to low point control is the height of point (meaning the depth of the club underneath the floor). This is a step drill I like to use to help train this! The step is more level (less down into the floor) and straight up into extension. This helps to maintain radius width and manage arc height.

Transition can play a vital role in how how we manage low point as a player! Where we get to in the backswing can massively influence where we get to at impact!

This is a drill I gave to an subscriber who’s part of my monthly program I offer!

Comment “LOW POINT” if you’d deeper explanation of this concept here on IG!

This a drill I did for an contact program subscriber!

This is great way to learn how to do a couple of things, shift the low point forward, keep the path moving into out (without trying to swing the arms way out and away from the body) as well as getting the ball to start right of target line (for the RH player).

Training sequence and timing / direction movements can be valuable assets to players and I have had a lot of success in coaching them through drills like this!

Let me know if you have any questions on this!

Beyond impressed with the work this guy has put in! Absolutely has the golf club humming now!

How early in a players development process do you think speed should be a priority? My opinion is it ranks up there right after predictable contact!

Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts on this!

Here is step drill I used with an online subscriber. The purpose of this style of step drill is to help get the hand path around earlier.

The cues here would be bigger step to trail (horizontal shift away from target) and combo that with a smaller step to lead side braking early (getting inward drivers of low point to shift earlier).

This would simply be a drill I’d only do with a player who is to far under the plane. If you are already and out to in sw***er of the club, stay away from this!

Hope this helps and let me know if you have any questions!
