What if your solar carport could spell your brand from the sky? ☀️✈️

At Drake Plastics’ new headquarters and manufacturing facility in Cypress, Texas, solar is doing more than generating clean energy.

Powered by Trinasolar Vertex N modules, the 1.3 MW rooftop and carport solar system features a custom-designed carport that spells out “DRAKE” in large letters. Visible from the air to flights approaching Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport, the installation turns solar into a distinctive part of the company’s identity.

Vertex N modules’ high-efficiency N-type TOPCon technology helped reduce the number of modules needed to meet the project’s performance goals, allowing for greater design flexibility while lowering balance-of-system (BOS) costs and levelized cost of energy (LCOE).

The new PV system is expected to offset 30% of Drake Plastics’ overall energy use and eliminate an estimated 719 tons of CO₂ annually.

A solar installation can power a business — and sometimes, it can tell its story from the sky.

Supporting Uzbekistan’s Renewable Energy Goals with a 126 MW Solar Project ☀️

The 126 MW Sarimay Solar PV Project in Uzbekistan, powered by Trinasolar Vertex N modules, is contributing to the country’s efforts to expand renewable energy and advance its transition toward a greener economy.

Spanning 177 hectares, the project is expected to generate more than 240 GWh of renewable energy annually — enough to supply approximately 60,000 households and reduce CO₂ emissions by more than 230,000 metric tons each year.

The project contributes to Uzbekistan’s broader ambition to expand renewable energy capacity to 25 GW and have renewables account for 40% of electricity consumption by 2030, supporting the country’s continued shift toward cleaner energy.

In solar projects near airports, highways, and other glare-sensitive areas, reflected light can be an important consideration for visibility and project development.

Trinasolar’s Vertex N anti-glare module features anti-glare glass designed to help manage reflected light. Its optical design helps scatter reflected light and reduce mirror-like reflections, creating a softer light effect and helping minimize potential visual disturbance.
