The U-20 Lions and Colombe played out an entertaining 2-2 draw in a friendly on Sunday at the Military Stadium in Yaounde.

The encounter produced four goals in a contest that remained tight until the final whistle, with both sides guilty of missed chances.

Katawiri Moubarak headed the reigning MTN Elite One champions in front in the 17th minute from a corner, before Yvan Nana Jordan levelled for the Lions in the 27th minute.

Samuel Fonyuy Achu's moment of brilliance put the Lions ahead for the first time, but substitute Ngoumbe About came off the bench to restore parity for Colombe.

UNIFFAC 2026 PREPARATIONS

The mood in camp shifted up a gear on Friday, August 28, as the U-20 Lions turned Day 8 of their training camp at the FECAFOOT Technical Centre in Odza into a perfect blend of hard work and high energy.

With preparations intensifying ahead of the 2026 UNIFFAC tournament, Coach Yvan Kenmoe's charges were put through a fun-filled yet demanding session designed to build sharpness, chemistry and confidence.

After warm-up exercises and ball-work drills, the team focused on possession games and small-sided drills to improve quick decision-making and creativity in tight spaces.

While maintaining a fun atmosphere, the competitive edge was raised as the squad was split into groups for attack-versus-defence games, crossing and finishing drills.

Coach Kenmoe emphasized movement off the ball, composure in front of goal.The tone remained upbeat, with cheers and celebrations after every good move.

The technical staff continues to blend tactical work with activities that foster team spirit ahead of the UNIFFAC tournament.

LIONS U17 : LA PRÉPARATION POUR LE MONDIAL QATAR 2026 EST LANCÉE

Les Lions U17 du Cameroun, sous la houlette de la FECAFOOT, ont entamé leur préparation pour la Coupe du Monde Qatar 2026 ce mardi 25 août 2026 au Centre Technique de la FECAFOOT à Odza

Au total, 43 joueurs ont répondu présents à la première séance d'entraînement coordonnée par le sélectionneur LIBIIH Thomas et son staff.

Cette première journée de regroupement était axée sur la prise de contact et les fondamentaux.
Le coach LIBIIH Thomas a mis un accent particulier sur l'esprit de groupe, le dialogue et l'esprit de gagne.

Ce premier stage externe, qui a débuté ce mardi 25 août, va s'étaler sur 10 jours.

Les Lions u17 vont entamer leur 4 jours de stage ce vendredi par 2 matches d'évaluations

The U-20 Lions brushed aside Apejes of Mfou 6-0 in a warm up match on Thursday, August 27 at the FECAFOOT Technical Centre in Odza.

As the scoreline shows, the Lions were in a class of their own as they dominated the match from start to finish.

Samuel Fonyuy Achu broke the deadlock early on before Nana Ivan Jordan and Nsonga Mbock extended the lead to 3-0.

Achu grabbed his second of the match just before the interval.

The match kept the same script in the second half as Coach Yvan Kenmoe's side added two more goals.

Mafany Frank further rubber-stamped the Lions dominance with a fifth goal before Ele Ele Maxime put his name on the scoresheet.

The U-20 Lions returned to the training pitch today, August 21, for another intensive external camp at the FECAFOOT Technical Centre, as they gear up for the 2026 UNIFFAC tournament.

Head Coach Yvan Kenmoe has called up 30 players for the camp, which runs from August 21 to September 1, 2026.

Throughout this camp, the Lions are scheduled to play series of warm-up matches to build team chemistry, refine tactical organization, and ensure the players reach peak condition ahead of the tournament.

In addition to the friendly matches, several team-building activities will be held to foster team spirit and strengthen relationships among the players.

Kenmoe has reiterated that selection will be based solely on merit and performance, as he seeks to build a squad with technical quality, fighting spirit, and greater depth in every position.
