KOLBY RETURNS TO NORTH AMERICA!

A massive congratulations to Jamaican Men’s National Team forward Kolby Johnson on signing with the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL!

A true power forward with elite size and offensive touch, Kolby brings high-impact energy back to North America after spending the last two seasons playing professionally in Australia alongside stints in the ECHL.

While overseas commitments kept him from suiting up for the national team recently, the entire federation remains incredibly proud of his success and looks forward to seeing him back in green and gold soon.

Join us in congratulating Kolbs and wishing him the best in Wheeling!

Looking back at our run in Montreal, the pride across our entire federation couldn’t be higher. While we fell just short of our ultimate goal, the grit, growth, and character displayed throughout this year’s Challenger Series showed exactly what Jamaican ice hockey is all about.

A massive thank you goes out to:

Our Players: For leaving everything on the ice every single shift.

Our Bench & Support Staff: For the countless hours of preparation, strategy, and behind-the-scenes work that kept our team operating at an elite level.

Our Fans: For bringing unmatched energy, passion, and green-and-gold pride to the rink. You truly made it feel like home ice.

Our Photographer: Roch Lambert 🇨🇦 for capturing these amazing shots for us to display our game.

We didn’t lift the trophy this time, but the blueprint is set. We’ll be back for 2027. Hungrier, stronger, and ready to tackle whatever is waiting for us.

GROWING THE GAME ON THE ISLAND 🇯🇲

Huge respect and big ups to Saroya Tinker and her team Women of Colour Hockey Collective for bringing their expertise to Jamaica and executing an incredible weekend ball hockey camp!

Expanding the game across the island is a massive priority for our federation, and initiatives like this are building the foundation for the next generation of Jamaican hockey players. From grassroots skill-building to pure passion on the floor, the energy all weekend was unmatched.

Thank you to the coaches, staff, and athletes who made this camp a huge success. The movement is growing, and we are just getting started.

MONTREAL’s TOP PERFORMERS

An incredible weekend of hockey in Montreal, driven by some standout individual performances. Shoutout to our stat leaders who helped pace the team across our four games:

Maleek McGowan (F) | 4 GP | 6 G | 2 A | 8 PTS

An absolute offensive powerhouse this weekend, leading the team in scoring and finding the back of the net in crucial moments.

Tayjon Street (F) | 3 GP | 2 G | 2 A | 4 PTS

Brought elite pace and high-impact offense with big body hits, producing over a point-per-game in his three appearances.

Jahwara Rennalls (D) | 4 GP | 0 G | 4 A | 4 PTS

A premier playmaker from the blue line, anchoring our defense while consistently jumpstarting the transition game.

Elijah Chavez (F) | 4 GP | 2 G | 2 A | 4 PTS

Provided vital depth and relentless energy, executing on both sides of the puck with a balanced offensive output.
Huge effort from the entire roster as we wrap up our tournament run. Proud of the grit this group showed.

That’s all she wrote from Montreal.

The 2026 Challenger Series has officially come to a close. We left everything out on the ice this afternoon, but fell just short of our ultimate goal in a highly competitive championship final.

We want to extend a congratulations to the Greek Heritage squad on an incredible tournament and a well-deserved championship victory. It’s always an absolute battle sharing the ice with you.

To our phenomenal fans in Montreal and Chicago, our tireless volunteers, and our dedicated partners, thank you. Your energy and support all weekend made us incredibly proud to wear the green and gold. We take the lessons, we look at the film, and we continue to build for the future.

We need every single fan in Montreal to pack the stands, wear the green and gold, and bring the noise from the very first puck drop! 🇯🇲
