Day 5.

Another unforgettable day in Montreux.

The men's podium is now complete, while the women's race continues to deliver incredible performances.

With the Swedish flag proudly in her hands, Maria Lundqvist crossed the finish line to claim victory in the women's race after an extraordinary crossing of Switzerland.

Shortly afterwards, Dilara Tuna secured a brilliant second place.

Anita Lehmann, currently third, is expected to arrive during the night.

Meanwhile, the finish line is becoming busier by the hour. Around 20 of the top male runners are expected to finish today, and the atmosphere in Montreux keeps growing stronger as friends, families and supporters welcome every finisher home.

Day 4.

Switzerland has now been crossed from east to west.

Today marked a major milestone as the race entered French-speaking Switzerland, bringing the finish line in Montreux ever closer.

At the front, Simon Birrer made his move. Since Les Diablerets, he has steadily increased the gap and now leads the race with authority.

The first Ekiden teams have also reached Montreux, with Jorat Performance taking the first victory, followed by École de Trail in second place.

Meanwhile, the race continues across the country.

More than 200 kilometres now separate the first finisher from the final runner still making their way through the Alps. Every athlete is living a different race, but all are sharing the same extraordinary adventure.

The first woman is expected to reach Montreux tomorrow afternoon.

The race is beginning to reveal its true nature.

At the front, the battle for victory is tighter than ever.

Pascal Faden and Simon Birrer are locked in an intense duel, with every climb and every descent counting. Behind them, the fight for the final podium spot remains wide open.

Today also marked another major turning point as one of the race favourites, Anita Lehmann, was forced to pull out.

Meanwhile, the field is now spread across the country.

The leaders have reached around 300 km, while the final runners have arrived in Engelberg at the 150 km mark. One race, many different battles.

The runners pushed deeper into the Swiss Alps, reaching Altdorf, the halfway point of the Crossing.

The miles are adding up, the legs are getting heavier, and every climb is beginning to make its mark.

Today also brought its share of emotion, with two of the pre-race favourites forced to retire from the race:
