Behind the scenes: The World Rowing Masters Commission and event service providers have finalised the start lists for the historic 2026 World Rowing Masters Regatta in Bled, Slovenia.

The start lists of 841 races from Wednesday to Saturday have now been finalised. Under the new draw principles, athletes racing outside their age categories, along with lane assignments, were allocated randomly. For athletes competing within their age categories, every effort was made to ensure fairness, including, where possible, avoiding crews from the same country or club racing against each other and applying other criteria designed to provide fair racing for all.

The start lists will be published next week.

Who runs the show? Women! 🚣‍♀️💪

We're proud to celebrate a major milestone at the 2026 World Rowing Masters Regatta.
From the nearly 4,700 participants registered so far, 2,081 are women, compared with 1,692 in 2017, previously the highest number of female participants at the regatta with a similar overall field size.
This growth reflects the increasing opportunities for women to stay active in sport, challenge themselves and enjoy the lifelong community that rowing offers.
