Winter just landed in New Zealand. 🇳🇿❄️

New season, new snowpack, new risks. Knowing the mountain is part of the ride, and great lines always start with a good plan, not just good conditions.

Whether you’re chasing NZ’s opening weeks or dreaming about the next one wherever you are, the prep work looks the same.

Too hot out here? We feel you 🥵
While summer’s melting everything down here, winter never really left our minds.

Good news: winter knowledge doesn’t melt.❄️

POWDER ALERT 🚨

The Andes are getting buried in fresh snow right now, and we’re stoked!❄️

Deep days like this are exactly why we ride, but fresh snow also means changing conditions and higher avalanche risk.

So before you drop in, take time to brush up with our safety online courses (link in bio) 🏔️
Stay stoked, stay safe.

Faster, Higher, Stronger, Safer, Together.
Freeride becoming an Olympic sport is so much more than a big announcement, it’s a historic shift for our entire community.✨

A discipline born from freedom, creativity and committed risk-taking is now stepping proudly through the front door of the Games.

Huge congratulations to all the athletes, organizers and partners who carried this dream over so many years and massive respect to the Freeride World Tour leadership and teams.🙌

Your vision, perseverance and courage to believe in what seemed impossible have changed the history of our sport.

With this recognition, a new chapter begins: one where education and prevention are no longer a “nice to have”, but a core pillar of freeride.

This is about protecting athletes, reducing accidents, respecting our environment, and above all preserving that unique space of wild freedom and play that we all cherish.🏔️

Risk will always be part of freeride and part of any true achievement but through education, proper training and a genuine “safer together” mindset, we can dramatically reduce that risk while keeping the essence of the sport alive.

That’s the major challenge for WEMountain, as official training partner of the Freeride World Tour, and we’re incredibly proud to help carry that responsibility with the whole freeride community.
A fantastic journey lies ahead to keep this sport shining, inspiring, and bringing more and more skiers into this extraordinary adventure.

Bravo to everyone and now it’s our turn to play: Faster, Higher, Stronger, Safer, Together.

Mountain lakes look pristine.✨They’re also among the most fragile ecosystems on earth.

Sunscreen, soap, even « natural » products. What goes in doesn’t come back out easily.

And swimming ? It disturbs far more than it seems.
These ecosystems take decades to recover from what we leave behind in a single afternoon.🏔️

Alpine ecosystems are unique and incredibly slow to recover !

Don’t pick flowers. Don’t trample. Don’t disturb pollinators.🐝

The best trace we can leave? None at all.

Respect the mountain, stay safe on it.❄️

Some people learn the mountains🏔️
was born into them. 37 years of riding, a family legacy, adventure films that move you and the deep understanding that every line you drop carries a consequence. For almost 3 years, he’s carried that message as our Safety Angels ambassador🪽
Happy Birthday Victor !!✨

Long after your hike ends, the mountain still carries what we left.

Months for a tissue. Years for a peel. Centuries for a bottle.🧃

Snow doesn’t make it disappear. It just waits for spring.

➡️ Leave nothing but footprints, winter or summer.
Respect the mountain, stay safe on it.
