As a new silver sponsor for this season, we are delighted to welcome Speedgoat!

The Speedgoat unit will play a critical role, acting as the “brain” of our car and connecting nearly every electrical system onboard. From one side, it will enable us to gather essential data from sensors—like IMU, temperature, and pressure—allowing us to monitor performance, troubleshoot in real-time, and develop targeted improvements. On the other, it will handle functions such as traction control and regenerative braking.

FS ATA 2024 - Recap of the event 🇮🇹

After three intensive events, the Bern Racing Team finally made it to Italy at the beautiful circuit of Varano de' Melegari 🏎️

The Statics were very successful again, we were able to achieve good results in the Engineering Design and the Business Plan. Thanks to this we have been able to score our best points since the team was created 🥳

The beginning of Dynamics has also started well, with a Skidpad that gives us a good ranking. We were able to show Sajetta’s potential during the Acceleration by setting our best time of the season with 3.722 seconds to go 75m! 🚀

During the autocross we unfortunately had a problem during our two best runs, as the power was higher than the regulation limitation they were not counted 😓 But happily, we were still able to make two more and still score points !

And finally we were able to finish our second endurance of the season. During this endurance we even needed to make a pit stop to change the type of tyre 🛞 during the exchange of drivers! This rarely happens during the Formula Students but the strategy paid off as our second driver had to finish his race in a heavy rain 🌧️ It also allowed the team to demonstrate its effectiveness even in the urgency of the situation 😮‍💨

This event thus allowed the season to end in a positive atmosphere and allows the launch of the 2025 season with great motivation 💪

Let’s look back on our previous event, Formula Student Germany 🇩🇪.

Our dream finally came true! 🌟 We have wanted to attend the best event in the world for a very long time, and we finally managed to qualify for it this year! 🎉

The event started well with scrutineering going smoothly. ✅ We also managed to get to the Business Plan finals 🏆! A very strong result for the team.

The start of dynamics went well, with both skidpad and acceleration scoring good points. 💪

Unfortunately, right after the post-scrutineering of acceleration, our carbon suspension broke due to the bumpy track of FSG. 😓

The team worked tirelessly to completely rebuild a whole suspension in Germany, and we managed to get the car back on the ground just in time for Autocross. 🏎 Unfortunately, some issues with traffic and our electronic system prevented Sajetta from showing its true performance during this discipline.

We finally finished our first endurance of the season here in Germany, and it felt even more special for the team after all the hard work. 👏
This event was a true showcase of dedication and adaptability in challenging circumstances. 💼💡

FS East 2024 - Recap of the event 🇭🇺

Our second event of the season was Formula Student East, in Hungary.
We knew it was going to be a tough one coming to the event. We unfortunately suffered technical issues prior to the event, forcing us to switch to a 3-wheel drive power mode. ⚙
We passed all the technical inspections first try and were the first EV team allowed to drive in FS East! 🥳
The static events went well, having our best performance to date in the cost event. 📊
During the dynamics, Sajetta showed great performance, scoring a team record in the skidpad and great times in acceleration and autocross, despite the 3 wheel drive. 🏎💨
Unfortunately, a gearbox leak was noticed during the driver change of endurance, forcing us to retire the car. ❌

Overall it was a great event for us, demonstrating our will and ability to adapt in any situations.

Last friday, thyssenkrupp Career invited us to their Racing Day event. We had the opportunity to drive Sajetta against 7 Formula Student teams on Skidpad and Autocross. We also could train our static events! 🥳
We gathered important data and could validate many of this year's concepts! Now we focus on Formula Student Switzerland coming up soon! 🏁⚡
