On 25-26th April Cricket Switzerland conducted a very successful ICC Umpiring Level 1 course in Basel.

Lead Tutor Jay S. led this course along with his Tutor team that comprised of Mandar S. & Balajee C. to successfully deliver this course.

We had 14 enthusiastic participants who are now energised and enriched to enhance their Umpiring journey.

Special mention: we had few participants who are captains of their respective clubs, by doing this course they portrayed a positive message to other fellow playing members on the importance of Umpiring.

Cricket Switzerland recently concluded a successful Annual General Meeting, bringing together Full and Associate members to chart the course for the year ahead. 🇨🇭

The meeting provided a vital platform to review our collective progress and approve a strategic suite of initiatives and structural adjustments. These changes are designed to professionalize our governance and accelerate the continued development and diversification of cricket across Switzerland.

This gathering was an important opportunity to review our achievements, discuss key priorities, and confirm the strategic direction of Cricket Switzerland for the coming year.

🏆 DBMT Trophy 2026 – A great day to begin the season! 🇨🇭

The DBMT Trophy came to a fantastic close yesterday, with the Switzerland National Team emerging victorious against Cossonay CC, last season’s Premier League champions. It was a great contest that truly showcased the quality and spirit of the game.

The matches were played in the right spirit, honoring the memory of the late Dr. David Barmes of Geneva C.C., the first President of the Cricket Switzerland. His legacy continues to inspire the cricketing community.

This also marks the beginning of the cricket season — an exciting journey ahead for everyone involved!
