Mobulu Futsal ist ein Berner Futsalverein, der im Jahre 2001 von einigen Studenten gegründet wurde und an inoffiziellen Hallenfussballturnieren teilnahm. Im Sommer 2005 wurde der Verein in die erste inoffizielle Saison der Schweizermeisterschaft unter dem Namen "Mobulu Futsal Uni Bern" eingegliedert. With broken hearts, we announce that our captain, Mirko, is hanging up his boots after 17 unforgettable years.
Mirko is the embodiment of Mobulu and a true legend of Swiss futsal. With an incredible 247 matches, he holds the record for the most appearances in the history of the Swiss Futsal Premier League. He also holds the club record of assists with 118, a testament to his vision, leadership, and selfless style of play.
His journey with Mobulu began on 29 January 2009, and from that day on, he gave everything for our beloved club. Over 17 years, Mirko became so much more than a player. He was a warrior, a leader, a coach, a captain, a teammate, and a friend. He led by example both on and off the pitch.
His impact reached far beyond our club. Mirko proudly represented Switzerland for 8 years with the national team, served as assistant coach of the Swiss national futsal team, and helped grow the game by educating and mentoring future futsal coaches.
But beyond the records, trophies, and achievements, Mirko will always be remembered for the person he is. The first to arrive and the last to leave. Always ready to help, always wearing a smile, and always pushing everyone around him to become better.
Dear Mirko, thank you for everything you have given to Mobulu, to Swiss futsal, and to all of us who had the privilege to share this journey with you.
You will always be part of our family, and you will be deeply missed. ❤️
