What did it cost me to have a kid?
My ego.
Kids are happy with the smallest things and the most important „things“ we can give to them are for free: attention, gratitude, affection, selfless care, kindness, respect and appreciation. In return we can experience the purest love and joy. To see their eyes light up when they see us or when we have organized something for them is priceless. There is nothing that can be compared to becoming a parent. It makes you more vulnerable, empathetic and devoted. Everything changes. As we get triggered through them, they also open the door for healing and immense growth.
If you don’t have any kids (yet), I hope you don’t fall for the lies that are being spread. Having kids is a privilege and not a burden.
