The criteria and selection process for the AGNT program has been released by Water Polo Canada for 2026-27.

You must be a member of the MWPA high-performance program and Team Manitoba to be considered.

Pat Oaten, is the Pathway Technical Lead for Water Polo Canada and is the one that oversees the implementation of the selection process and provides athlete recommendations to the High Performance Director.

Pat will be here September 25-27 to kick off our training year for the High Performance Program here in Manitoba.

Fall registration is just around the corner!

Some exciting news for School League - a new Affiliate Membership! This registration category applies to athletes participating in provincially approved school training and competition, where the school or school division has its own insurance coverage.

Excited to announce BIWPA is coming to Winnipeg October 16 - 18 for athletes ages 10-18. Early Bird discount for registration until September 15.

Stanley is going into grade 10 at Collège Louis Riel (DSFM) this September in the International Baccalaureate program. On top of his club commitments, he played for Collège Jeanne-Sauvé in the MWPA School League and is part of Team Manitoba. He is also a Referee for water polo, having taken the NCCP Community Referee training.

Stanley has just returned from Barcelona where he was training with Water Polo Canada's 15U/16U AGNT Development Program. Next he is off to Dallas, Texas to play with the Houston Water Polo Club (18U Team: Viper Pigeons Blue) in the Junior Olympics from July 29 - August 2.

The MWPA is seeking a High-Performance Director to serve as the strategic leader to continue developing and implementing the high-performance program. The High-Performance Director will also play a crucial role in establishing and delivering a clear player development pathway for athletes in Manitoba seeking to be part of the Water Polo Canada AGNT program.
