What is Gup ranking in Taekwondo?
Gup rank
Additionally, it is occasionally referred to as the “Kup” or “Geup” rank – both of which translate as “grade.” This is the lowest rank in Taekwondo. Students must work their way up the Gup ranks or grades.

Meaning of the Purple Belt
"Purple represents the colours of dawn; a new beginning . The Purple Belt is issued to all the students within the Little Tigers Clan. Studemts are issued only one belt. Rather then a colour belting system, students receive colored stars on their uniform indicating their skill level.
