๐ŸŒก๏ธ Extreme heat doesnโ€™t take a season off and neither does player safety. ๐Ÿˆโ˜€๏ธ

Whether weโ€™re in pre-season, in-season, or preparing for next season, itโ€™s important that every coach, volunteer, parent, official, and player understands how to recognize and respond to extreme heat.

The Football Manitoba Heat & Humidity Policy provides clear guidelines on hydration, rest breaks, equipment modifications, practice adjustments, and when activities should be modified or stopped altogether. These standards are in place to help protect everyone on the field.

At the Manitoba Minor Football Association, player safety will always come first. We encourage every football family to familiarize themselves with these guidelines and keep them handy throughout the summer.

๐Ÿ“„ You can find the policy on the Football Manitoba website under Resources โ†’ Heat & Humidity Policy, or access it directly here:
https://footballmanitoba.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/24/2021/11/heat_and_humidity_information_2017.pdf

Letโ€™s work together to ensure every practice and every game is as safe as it is fun.

๐Ÿ’ง Hydrate.
๐ŸŒณ Rest in the shade.
๐ŸŒก๏ธ Monitor conditions.
๐Ÿˆ Put player safety first.
