🎾Swan Lake Tennis Camp🎾

14 participants enjoyed a full day of tennis skills training, fun games and great coaching at Swan Lake Arena with the Lorne Recreation District!

This camp is part of Tennis Manitoba’s Rural Development Grant program, supported by Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries. Their investment in community sport helps Tennis Manitoba bring high-quality tennis programming to communities across Manitoba and provide more opportunities for kids to learn, play and enjoy the sport. 🎾

🎾Day 1 of the Ladder Cup🎾

What a great start to the inaugural Ladder Cup at Deer Lodge Tennis Club! Players battled it out in a live ladder-style format, competing against players of similar levels and looking to climb the ladder. 💪🎾

A big thank you to all of the players, volunteers, and partners who helped make Day 1 a success!

🎾🇨🇦 Tennis Manitoba is proud of Jett Nguyen and Mariya Gedz for representing Manitoba and Team Prairies at the U16 Fischer Outdoor Junior National Championships in Toronto!

Both athletes competed hard throughout the week and gained valuable experience competing at the national level on clay — a surface they don’t regularly play on in Manitoba.

👏 Mariya had her best Nationals result in doubles so far, reaching the semifinals with her partner Alexandra from BC. She also received the Fair Play Award for the second time at Nationals! 🏆 This award recognizes sportsmanship, respect for opponents and officials, honesty and a positive attitude on court. We are incredibly proud of Mariya and the way she represents Manitoba both on and off the court.

Jett battled through two tough singles matches, including an extremely close three-set match, and continued to improve as he adjusted to the clay surface.

A big thank you to Team Prairies Coach Marek Nehasil for his dedication and commitment to the athletes in Toronto. Despite rain limiting some training opportunities, Marek gave 100% of his time and effort to the players. We truly appreciate everything he does to support our athletes.

TRY WHEELCHAIR TENNIS

Tennis Manitoba and the Manitoba Wheelchair Sports Association (MWSA) are excited to invite you to try wheelchair tennis!

Whether you are completely new to tennis or looking to try a new adaptive sport, these sessions are a fun and welcoming opportunity to get on court, learn the basics and experience the game.

All ages are welcome!

Time: 9:00–10:30 a.m.

🎾We’re excited to be part of the Winnipeg Newcomer Sport Academy (WNSA) summer camps at the University of Winnipeg!

We’re so happy to have the opportunity to lead tennis sessions and introduce these amazing kids to the sport. It’s fantastic to see them learning new skills, having fun and enjoying tennis together! 🎾🙌

WNSA provides accessible, inclusive multi-sport programming for newcomer children and youth, helping families connect with their new community through sport.
