This might be one of the CRAZIEST attempts a human has ever done.
Phil Gore is attempting to run 168 laps EVERY HOUR for 7 days straight, using a Backyard Ultra-style format called “Project 168.”
No rivals. Just time. Every lap helps raise money for Telethon, supporting sick and disadvantaged kids across Western Australia.

What a journey.
700 kilometres. Fourteen straight days. One beautiful province.
Nova Scotia challenged me more than I could’ve imagined. There were some incredible highs and plenty of really low lows. But every single km reminded me why we do this.
To everyone who ran beside me, welcomed us into your communities, donated, shared our story, or cheered us on, thank you. I couldn’t have done it without you.
If this journey helped even a few more people learn about congenital CMV, then every difficult step was worth it.

Day 13/14 ✅
One more day.
My buddy Phil Marcoux was an absolute beast today (much like yesterday). 100km over the last two days for him.
We powered through the hilliest 50KM seemingly of my life by trading stories and solving all of the world’s problems.
Hills were tough, but the views were worth it. This was easily the most scenic day yet.

Another awesome day along the shores of Bras d’Or Lake. This place is absolutely beautiful!
My good running buddy Phil Marcoux joined me for today’s 50KM, although I could’ve used a little more suffering from him…or at least a slightly slower pace to make things easier on me
We had perfect weather to start before a downpour arrived with about two hours left.
A great day with great company.
Glad to have Equiton alongside us as today’s sponsor and helping us reach the home stretch!

Day 11/14 ✅
Today’s 50KM flew by. Really felt like a jog with friends and family with no counting down the kilometres whatsoever.
My Mom and Uncle Moe got me started before Rian Malik, who flew in from Toronto, joined me for the longest run of his life!
We finished his 25km and I wasn’t done my stories, but he had to go 🤣
My son joined me for the final stretch as we made our way across the Strait of Canso and onto Cape Breton.
