The RCU Aquatic Centre will be closed on the evening of August 18th due to a staffing shortage.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. Providing a safe experience for our patrons requires adequate staffing levels, and unfortunately we are unable to meet those requirements for the day.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back when regular operations resume on Wednesday, August 19th.

Celebrating a Decade of Excellence in Aquatic Education & Training!

For the past 10 years, Jon Sorokowski has played an instrumental role in developing aquatic professionals at the RCU Aquatic Centre, teaching our National Lifeguard Certification, Swim for Life Instructor, and Lifesaving Instructor courses.

This year marked a special milestone as Jon trained and mentored our very own Aquatic Programmer, Dean Klassen, through the process of becoming a certified Lifesaving Society Trainer. Dean's achievement is a testament not only to their dedication, but also to Jon's commitment to mentorship and leadership in aquatic education.

On behalf of the City of Winkler and everyone who has benefited from his expertise, we extend a heartfelt thank you to Jon for his unwavering dedication to training, education, and the success of our aquatic staff over the past decade.

Thank you, Jon, for 10 years of inspiring, teaching, and shaping the next generation of aquatic leaders!
